You don't know what you are talking about.

40 times:
-Rasheed Rice...4.51
-Ceedee Lamb...4.51
-Aiyuk...4.50
-Deebo Samuels...4.48
Brandin Cooks....4.33
Cooks was one of the fastest WRs when he got drafted, but that was 10 years ago.

I hope Tolbert steps up. We don't have much depth at WR though, which could become an issue, especially if Ferguson misses extended time.

WR is fine with speed, especially with Turpin. We need a game breaker at RB. Is that Deuce? No clue but Rb is going to be a glaring weakness as the season progresses.

From purely a teambuilding concept, this team had about as bad an off-season as you could have IF you believe you are a playoff contender.

Save yourself the "draft talk," all 32 teams participate in the draft every year.

So, with that being said, maybe this FO will be more aggressive with in-season trades and/or trade deadline deals.

I agree that we need more speed at RB, and it does feels like we need another WR. Not major acquisitions, but if there's a chance to improve, they should take it.

I would go the "baseball route" and target teams that are clearly out of the playoff hunt and hit those teams up.

The guy gave his opinion that the team he roots for needs more speed. That could be right or wrong but why does that make him a bad fan?
Seems to be a movement to eliminate any diverse opinions here
Does not make a bad fan, but seems like it, but when every post is whining about something, and finding or making bad things about about good things. Just seems not fan like.

Chiefs won Super Bowl without elite speed at all in their playmakers. 49ers made Super Bowl without that.

Rams very much the same with their Super Bowl.
Mahomes is a huge outlier. No other team has a QB close to him currently and he can win with any sort of cast you give him.

McCaffery and Deebo Samuel both have pretty good speed. And that time had an abundance of guys who could make plays all over the field at any given time with Ayuk, McCaffery, Deebo, Ayuk and others. And a great OL. They didn't need speed everywhere to win, their scheme got their guys where they needed to be to make plays.

Rams had one of the best defenses and Aaron Donald, one of the best ever to play on the DL. Their defense kept them in most their games and the offense just needed to do enough, which they finally did in 2021. McVay is also a great offensive coach who gets the most out of all his players and puts them in the best situation to win.

That is the difference in those teams than ours. We don't have great coaching, we don't have playmakers everywhere, we don't have a QB like Mahomes (no one does). So we need an edge somewhere and speed would be great. We don't have anyone on this offense a defense fears can get behind them. This means the defense can play closer in and be more aggressive knowing no one is going to burn by them.

Look at Tyreek Hill. He has elite speed and opens up that Miami offense to where Tua actually looks like a good QB because of it. Tyreek Hill also opened up the Chiefs offense. Speed is a great weapon to have at any level of football.

I don't even see it as whining I just think we lack home run threats on offense. CeeDee is one and that's pretty much it.

By the way 4 FG’s and a Turpin TD ( that man has speed ) ….offense left a lot on the dinner table not cashed in . Yes Cleveland at home and has above avg D . Hopefully Dak and co at home punch it in more often against the Saints .
It kind of seemed like they relaxed or got complacent on offense in the 2nd half. Sure they were ahead, but that can't be a pattern for a good team.

CeeDee looked notably larger/stronger, as was reported he put on 12-15 lbs of muscle.

But he also didn't look as fluid or quick yesterday. I'm hoping it's just rust after holding out.

Do you think Turpin has “ speed “ . Andy Reid would somehow get him the ball . And Jalen Brooks seems to know how to get open downfield show him the $$$.

Of course it is. Big Duh.

I said...and demonstrated historically with numerous examples...that elite speed at playmaker position isn't a requirement for great team success.

I mentioned last year's Chiefs, but also the Rams and 49ers. In recent terms we could also add numerous Patriot championship teams, which often had very pedestrian speed in their playmaker group.

Emmitt sure wasn't so fast nor was Michael Irvin. Nor Troy for that matter. The did OK.
