We need this guy back

I think the team needs all those things more than Romo at QB coach. And getting Romo and Garrett back together just seems like a stunt that will net no results. Probably be more of a mess. Until they bring in a new coaching staff, the same things will just continue.
I think Romo could be a good coach. So would Witten. Romo would have to start somewhere. But with him being a gun slinger he probly isn’t the best to teach mechanics. Lol. But I know he helped Dak quite a bit his rookie year. He was in the meetings drawing things up for him.

And only bring Romo on board of JG is gone. JG needs to go. If we had a separate OC with his own playbook that ran the Offense then JG could just stand there and clap. Which is what I see happening after this season. JJ wants to keep him. I think we would both agree that JG should have been gone years ago. Or never had the job to begin with.

I believe Tony is much happier with his TV gig than he'd be otherwise.

He has way more time with his family than he ever would as a coach.

Yep and enjoying his time golfing as well. I wouldn’t blame him one bit if he wouldn’t want to come back to this circus.

Jerrah will double his salary over Fox.

Romo is not stupid.

0x2 = 0 .

Romo has money, from his playing days and his CBS gig. Romo has more free time with his family now compared to any NFL job .

I doubt he'll give up a comfy long lasting gig to be thrown back into the NFL where he'll spend most of his life watching tape, long hours studying and preparing while his kids grow older. Even if his salary was doubled. He isn't hurting for $

Why would Romo want to do that? Serious question. What would the advantage be?

It would allow him to quit his job announcing games and take a 70 hour a week job for probably about 10% of the money. Obviously an offer he can't refuse.

There is no salary cap on coaching jobs.

QB coach he wouldn't take, that's stupid.

OC he would consider, and Jerry can get the money to a point where Romo likes it.

Since we are dreaming.....let's get
  • Aikman as GM
  • Romo as offensive coordinator
  • Emitt as running backs coach
  • Irvin as receivers coach
  • Moose at fullbacks coach/ special assistant of something
  • Novacek as tight ends coach
  • Charlize Theron and Megan fox as cheerleaders coach and stuff
  • Kevin Costner as team mascot

Alot of assumptions there.

Clean house and bring in real coaches. No we don't Romo as OC. I want an experienced coaching staff, not another learn on the job circus. I'm looking for a coach who will be instrumental in getting Elliott some real carries and in turn making the QB play smarter and better. Whether that's Dak or not?

Exactly. I want a coach that isn't an extended part of the Jones family and can be removed if he doesn't perform. Romo's fine where he's at... making a ton of money with time to spend with his family and golf.

A job Tony Romo is completely unqualified for? No experience coaching and they make him OC? This is really a foolish idea. No knock on Romo, but calling plays in a TV booth is NOTHING like being an OC. It never happens like this in the NFL for a reason. Being an NFL coordinator is a very tough job.

No, as the QB.
You’re kidding, right? Romo was great when his body could hold up to the rigorous hits of the NFL. You think TRs body would have held up for those 11 sacks our OL has given up so far this year?

Why not ask Roger Staubach out of retirement? His body is probably as ready as Romo’s.

The truth is, Romo is overqualified as a color analyst. He's exceptionally valuable to any team who needs real time information as to how to pick apart a defense. Romo will be a coach at some point, I'm certain of it!
