Jones cost this team and ruined an otherwise great season. I feel sorry for Witten and some other vets that deserve a ring while Byron is learning to play a position on the field and costing his team in the process.

If he ain't ready to play the position then get the underwear Olympian off the field.

Landon Collins was picked AFTER Jones. I bet 99% of Cowboy fans would like a do over.
I do! Had a discussion w my buddy over this. He called me a Giants fan cause I said I liked Collins over Byron!

Collins is a baller. 5 sacks 5 ints and pro bowl. Comeon. That's definateloy better than Byron. I don't see anything that makes Byron jones a difference maker. I'm not giving up in him, but he's done less than what I expected. Heck even Heath gets ints lol

I have no issue discussing if Jones needs to be moved to nickel corner. But even then, the guy can't get his head around to save his life.

Anthony Brown, a 6th rd pick, is already better than Jones.

That was a silly 1st rd pick. He has zero playmaking abilities. He can't play S or DB well.

He simply has no instincts and is very robotic. Some things even experience can't fix. One would expect that a first rounder playing a DB position at least has some instincts.

Cut Jones now. No other team wants him as their starting safety. lol.

Part of an offensive coordinator's job description is messing with a defense's "zone integrity" and boundary lines.

Really not fair to convince the defensive back to stay in Dallas county while the receiver slips over into Tarrant county to steal the diamonds.

Because once you make a move like that, the dynamic of your draft philosophy is altered. Call it the butterfly effect or whatever but the notion that the rest of your picks now fall exactly the same way after a move like that (even if those players are still available) is naive. You've also just altered the approach of every team that picks after you when you make a move like that. The player you traded up for just refocused the team that would have originally taken him to another position to another player and so on, and so on. Every pick/move made in the draft affects the rest of the draft for the entire NFL.

My point wasn't what we should've done but the fact that there were DEs available early 2nd round. So this notion you shouldn't take one because no premier ones will be there is off base.

But I don't see how taking Ogbah in a trade up or drafting Spence would've changed our draft. You never know how players will be drafted and this team made it known they were going for Dak.

Carr is the only one that makes sense. MO is not a starter.

All comes down to money.
Mo is a starter... for 5-8 weeks.
You'd play Scandrick back inside at the slot... until Mo got hurt.

But if price is right you get plus play for 80% of the time you keep Mo on the field.
When he is right teams have no shot against him.

1st year playing Free Safety 2nd year in the league, Rome wasn't build in one day. You guys are so impatient, Jesus. The guy spent his first season splitting time between corner and safety, now he's expected to be All-Pro in one year? Calm the hell down, get a LARGE DT, and two edge rushers, and in year 2 or 3, you'll possibly see an all-star.

Marinelli is allergic to large DTs!

I do not care what Marinelli likes. I do what makes this line dominant, and that would be 2 FAST DEs, and a MONSTER DT next to Collins.

And if I owned the team you could run the defense.
