So what's the excuse for Romo this year?

Back spasms, strains and soreness will drop his accuracy. 3rd down conversion rates plummet. Defense somehow plays even worse than last year.

Still miraculously finish season 8-8.

what do you want? you can't draft players who have already been picked. do you think there was a defensive player more valuable than martin?

also, do you not think that the next few picks will be defensive players?

No. We should panic. Draft ends today. We wasted out one shot.... What?.... None of those things are true? Oh my bad

LT Smith
LG Bearn/Leary
C Frederick
RG Martin
RT Free

Absolutely amazing. Best Cowboys line in 20 years. Best offensive line in the league.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the pick, but I'm thinkink we may have the best Ol in a year or two. We might be asking alot of a rookie moving inside after spending his career at OT. The scouts indicate he is more ideal for the position, but I think we should give him some time to get comfortable.

Actually, I'm not complaining. I'm just laughing at all the people sweating our offense based off some stats, while Dallas demoted Garrett, keeps Callahan and adds Linehan.

Certain people in the organization obviously don't think the offense is as good as certain people claim it to be.

Wrong. This pick says nothing about the offense, or anyone's "belief" in it. The Cowboys tried to trade back, but having no willing partners, went BPA.

I still think Parnell can challenge Free for the RT job. Bern is now the inside G/C guy.

I think Parnell is the the one on the outside now, we have a better option as swing tackle in Martin so it make more sense to keep an extra OG in case one of our OTs go down so we can move Martin outside.

so you have a chance to upgrade at safety and you pass why?

Two reasons---the obvious one is that Martin was rated higher on their board. You know, that "BPA" thing.

The more obvious one (or oblivious to some) is that Dallas invested a 3rd-round pick on JJ Wilcox last year, and giving up on a 3rd-rounder after one season---part of which he spent injured---is stupid.

I like Martin at RG and think Parnell has better tools than Free for RT. Free improved last year but got a lot of help. Either way it one of those good problems.

Love the pick. But way too early to claim the best OL in the league. They need to prove they can grind on DLs and take over games.

I'd still give it to the Titans. They have an All Pro LT in Michael Roos, big time free agent money last year on LG Andy Levitre, a 1st round pick at RG in Chance Warmack, and now they added a 1st rounder at RT in Taylor Lewan, and they have a decent young OC they drafted last year in Brian Schwenke.

Parnell had the chance to beat out Free a couple of years ago when Free was playing awfully and couldn't do it. If Free reverts back to 2012 form and replacing him becomes a need then Martin is the better choice IMO. OTs are more valuable with an aging QB then OGs.

But as you said, it's one of those good problems to have

Let's not exaggerate. We have a Top 10 offensive line. Not Top 5, not No. 1.

I agree. I'm still shocked Chris Johnson could do nothing behind them last year

Bad ideal. Two players would be out of position instead if one. That is a bad thing for the OL.
