We overrated this DL

Crawford is the guy who has been taken double teams, and still gets a push hayden is god aweful

DC and HC are about as similar as the Terminator and Peewee Herman.

Wade worst HC in history.

Wade in Denver just dominated Aaron Rodgers like I've never seen before and his team is undefeated and carried by his defense.

Wade is not even close to being the worst HC in history.

Apparently the coaching staff does as well....Hayden... 30+ snaps... 2 tackles, 2 assists 0 sacks, probably 0 pressures.. "B+"

samething for hardy, yet he produces. at some point these players have to produce and Crawford has gone AWOL.

He's still producing. I don't know how many pressures he's gotten but it's a lot. The problem is, Hayden is beside him.

We who? I said it was stupid to rush to extend Crawford. Also who was sold on Lawrence? Finally, Hayden us the guy everybody wanted to replace.

Marineli has an enormous responsibility here if you ask me.

Lawrence last year..

Gordon this one..

Muncie has not stepped up and others have been mentioned already.

I would also add..

the LBers to me have completely dissapeared, too.

I understand about Lee and McLain with their injuries..

but frankly. Lee is on thin ice with his perpetual history of injuries as is Ro Mac with his problems of the past.

So it not just the DL..

its the front 7 as a whole.

Its just not even close to what we were all pumped to expect.

So whatelse is new?

Been this way for decades.

They have not been in a situation to really pin their ears back and go get the QB.

When teams know they only need two scores to win you aren't going to get many sacks
And since most of the guys we were expecting to contribute have played very little it's really hard to judge them

Bingo! Let's get up 21-0 for a game and see how it plays out! Why would any team take any chances they don't have to with a gutless coach and horrible offense? This is exactly how teams played Dallas when we had Qcar.

Then what happened against Atlanta where we were up 14 points at two different times?

Granted the offense did absolutely nothing to help but still..

To be fair...Dallas got up on Atlanta without the benefit of Greg Hardy or Randy Gregory being available to pass rush at will. Dallas likely wins that game with those guys rushing the passer.

That said...Atlanta ended up running the ball down Dallas' throat until they climbed back in the game..

Lynch was held to 3.4 ypc and Wilson had a rating of 81.3
We held a team to 13 points and lost and you want to complain about the defense?

Good grief, Hardy was about 15 yards from outscoring our offense and winning the football game....

So you’re happy about them allowing a 17 play drive at the end allowing the Seahawks the score the winning points?

Let’s not pretend here that the defense has no culpability in the last five losses.

Everyone likes to praise/blame whatever QB is playing, but it’s a team win/loss.

The defense gave up 13 points yesterday and 13 last week.

Sacks league wide seem to be down this year.

There's room for improvement but I don't see a lack of sacks being a huge problem.

There's been a league-wide tendency to emphasize the short passing game this year -- hence, fewer sacks.

Dallas, like most teams, should not depend on their defense to win them a game.

There is maybe 3 defenses in the entire league that you could legitimately ask to do that.

If a team needs to go 40 yards to get a field goal against us than I fully expect them to. Especially if they have a top 8 QB.

This defense reminds me of the Zimmer defenses that finished as the #1 defense in the league but we all knew it was terrible.

I don’t ask them to depend totally on the defense, but I do expect the defense/special teams to step up because of the problems at QB.

By and large they have not.

Another couple of turnovers (bringing us up to a whopping six on the year) or a punt return for six could very well mean the difference between 2-5 and 4-3.

It’s that close.

I think the defense as a whole was all underrated. Theyre more than carrying their weight.

our defense has totally collapsed in the 4th quarter. specially on the final drives they afford other teams. some blame the TOP but its been proven it has nothing to do with TOP. we are one of the worst 4th quarter defenses in the league.

IIRC that was the game where Mincey was out, Hardy was still suspended, Gregory was out. They used LBs Wilber and Wilson (6', 240) at DE on several snaps in that game. The offense didn't hold the ball long enough and the defense was visibly gassed in the 2nd half. IIRC, that was one of the worst games in terms of time of possession for the Cowboy offense.

The Cowboys are ranked 7th in defense.

Just like many predicted before the season that he will hold this dline back.
