We picked Escobar at 47, Pitt grabbed Bell at 48

Would rather have had Eddie Lacy and he was on the board until #61.

Why would we have drafted Bell with Murray already on the team?

An RB made sense because Murray was coming off an injury plagued season. A lot of people were starting to sour on him due to his injury history and RB was one of the Cowboys needs entering that draft. They ended up taking Randle in the 5th round.

Why would we use a 2nd rd pick on a TE when we needed help on defense?

Wait a minute. You say we should have drafted Bell instead of Escobar, but then say we should have drafted defense. So which is it?

I can go along with drafting defense instead, but Bell wouldn't have given us anything we don't already have. Murray has been nothing short of incredible this year as well, and he's still on his rookie contract, too.

Had the Cowboys drafted Lacy or Bell either player would have given them security at the RB position in the event they lose Murray after this season. Both backs are quality starters who could have thrived behind the Cowboys young OL. If we lose Murray and had drafted either player there would be no need to bring in an aging AP or find another RB who can carry the load. Randle and Dunbar aren't going to be the answer if we lose Murray.

But we must speak of Escobar and his complete lack of contribution at a completely different position.

This is an apple and oranges discussion.

Please pay attention. ;)

I wanted Larry Warford, but I realized going OL, OL in the first two rounds were remote, but I really was hoping to shore up that OL quickly. TE in the 2nd round was definitely a surprise.

What if Witten went down this year?

He never goes down not that it can't happen but he's only missed one game that I can remember in his career. If he did go down Hanna showed some potential you go with him.

Look, we could play this game forever. The Cowboys had a chance to draft Tom Brady in 2000 but didn't.

This guy Leveon Bell has been nothing short of incredible. Imagine if we'd picked him up.

Still on a rookie contract, we'd be able to pay Dez, let Murray walk and pay some of our other FAs.

Just sayin....

I was screaming at the tv for bell . we chose some useless player Instead of shady McCoy too

All that means is that every other team in the league had a chance to get him ...... and they also did not.

It was not just Dallas.

That can be applied to nearly anythinganything

yes it can, I don't know, it just seems like this old, we could of recalls
aren't harmful or anything thing but it appears that its a lament on the
the inadequacy of our drafting department for no avail.

All the teams experience this and they experience it each year.
Bell now would be good but I don't see him playing the last two years.
As good as Bell is I dont see him sitting quietly for his turn, next year.
There's the issue of finding the player that fits your scheme at the time.
It's been a moving target and for some that's a fair complaint.

Escobar's time is coming

I rather would have Larry Warford OG then Escobar or Bell.

Smith, Leary, Fred, Warford, Martin

Rather have Janoris Jenkins then Claiborne
Rather have Sherman then Moore

But we got who we got and we are 9-4 and ready for a run

What if we had drafted Jake Locker instead of Tyron Smith? What if we took Lions took Demarco instead of Mikel Leshoure? What if the Packers took Dez Bryant instead of Bryan Bulaga?

Its really so annoying when fans want to discuss "what if?" in regards to players that we passed up on. The Cowboys can't hit 100% on their draft picks.
