nope, the draft didnt fall right for us to get a good RB.

This is well put; true. I'm still on the record saying Coleman and Ajayi were terribly overrated on this board. I do (still) believe Yeldon, Abdullah and both Johnsons will make for good-great RBs in the league. Who the hell knows about Gurley and Gordon- we never had a realistic chance of drafting either anyhow.

Abdullah fumbled wayyyyy too much in college to consider a starting RB.

The money they used on Sean Lee should've been used to sign Demarco Murray.

1,800 yd back >>>>>>>>>>>> Any LB in Nfl history

I can find any scrub and put him at LB.

Yep, lets get Brady Poppinga back out there so we can keep Murray. What's Kyle Bosworth up to?

Not sure about your math. Dallas could have gotten both Gregory and Damien Wilson if it had drafted either Mike Davis or Buck Allen in the third (or even with a slight trade down) instead of Chaz Green.

Maybe Green will turn out better than both of those backs, but right now, I'd swap Davis for Green in a flash.

Well said indeed sir !

My take is Gregory falling to us from Football Heavens in round 2 prevented us from drafting a RB. Not Sure Mike Davis or Buck Allen are any better than Joseph Randle nor will ever be. Now, not finding another sleeper in the late rounds or among the rookie free agents is puzzling.

They didn't have to be better than Randle. Since were using a runningback by committee it would be okay to at least take a flyer on some of the runningbacks that were still on the board.

Yes, but Gregory was still there and you can't blame them for taking him. What you can blame them for is that they did not trade up into the early 3rd when they could have to take Tevin Coleman.

Yes this is what I wished would have happened. Trade up and take Tevin Coleman. I know whats done is done but I not too hot on Chaz Green and he could be had in the 4th round. All in all, I'm very happy with the draft and pretty excited with getting Gregory. Just not so hot on Chaz Green.

You know without a doubt Chaz Green would be there in the 4th? Then we miss out on Damien Wilson in the 4th.

You can guess most likely the top half of the first round but nobody can know what player will or won't be there in a certain round. Each team ranks players differently. Media has been way wrong were players go.

I seen before the draft Randy Gregory was a sure fire top 10 pick. Almost every team passed on him twice. Ajayi was said to go top 3 rounds. .....what round he was drafted again?

I hate to say it but it looks like the Commanders have a good rookie back in Matt Jones.....I wont lie...I never heard of him and don't remember him even being mentioned before the draft.
We need a power back and this guy is 6 foot 2 and 230 Lbs.
They picked him up in the 3rd round late.

So far:
2nd game 8 carries for 44 yards. 5.5 per carry and a TD
1st game 5 carries 38 yards, 7.6 per carry.

He has looked the part also. The guy runs similar to Marshawn Lynch.

He is looking better than Chas Green at this point.

I would say the same thing about Chas Green but Green will probably be inactive this entire year.

So you can pick today..Chas Green or Matt Jones?

The guy may poop the bed for all I know. But he is off to a promising start and looks like he belongs out there.

Joseph Randle > any of the guys available.

FWIW, I think they should've paid Parnell and kept Free around for depth (or let him go),,, Weems might be able to turn the corner but it seems a little risky.
