We should trade Ware

Ware is my favorite player, so it hurts me to say this, but it is time to move on. He will turn 31 this year in the offseason. The next two years he is due 12 and 13.75 million respectively.

This is either going to require a long term extension which will lock him up until his mid to late 30's or it is going to require eating a lot of money and watching him leave in a couple of years.

Either way, it just isn't a good option. I still think he has at least 2-3 good years left in him, but at that price, we should move on. I would hate to see him turn into Jay Ratliff.

Realistically, we could grab at least a 1st round pick this year with another mid rounder this year or next. Maybe we could even get more.

I am going to duck now.

Gosh, are these the same type of "fans" who call out the Jones family every year? Man, I know Jerry & Stephen haven't had this organization competing for championships, but with GM's like the OP, we'd be competing for the #1 pick year after year

I rather go 1-15 three years in a row than 6-10 8-8 and 8-8. At least then you can clean house. Get the cap in order and get young talent

Actually his cap hits are like 16M and 17M starting next year.

Then again, that's what happens when you restructure a contract for 3 consecutive off seasons. You push the money to the end.

Are you serious or just trolling? Dumervil isn't half the player that Ware is. And you wouldn't save much as far as age since Dumervil is 29 years old. Plus they wouldn't save any money. He won't take a pay cut in Denver and will be expecting to get paid by whomever signs him.

who says we would have young talent?

who here is going to find it?

there is a reason jerry, stephen and ciskowski will hang on for dear life to the core players. They cant identify and produce any.

and we shouldnt get rid of any of these guys as long as romo is here....

if/when romo is not here then blow out the roster until then it makes no sense....

and again, who is going to replace these guys? That trio in the front office has proven to be a horrendous group at the top.

Ya dumervil would want too much. But if I were to pick out of the 2 absolutely id pick dumervil. I think ware has like 2 years left at best. He was hardly noticeable last season already with the injuries.

3 years in a row??? lol, what would give you hope of things turning around if you are still 1-15 after 3 straight seasons?? haha, we have played for the division for the past 2 seasons & had a depleted defense this past year and a very poor o-line, yet played for the division.. You're seriously telling me you would rather root for a team to fail and hope on hitting on your draft picks when there is no sure thing, instead of having your team in the division race every year to get into the playoffs? I don't want to accept mediocrity 8-8 either, but 1-15 3 straight seasons??? oh my my

As a Giants fan, I don't think you should but I would love it if you traded him. :D

lol the guy was banged up for at least half of the year & still produced the same #'s as Dumvervil. Ware = 11.5 sacks, Elvis 11... Ware = total tackles 33, assisted on 23, Elvis = total tackles 32, assisted on 22 GET REAL.. Von Miller may take some sacks away, but you would still like to replace him with Dumvervil after having an injury riddled season & still putting up the same #'s??

Been saying the same thing for the past 2 seasons

Yup trade the only guy who forces the QB to step up on a consistent basis, yet it doesn't show his value b/c we have had very little pressure in the interior that makes the QB pay when he steps up in the pocket.
