Good thought. I don't know why everyone is against it. We are not a close to SB team like Seattle, GB, Denver or SF. It will take 3-4 good drafts to be a good team by which time - Ware, Romo, Witten need to be replaced.
For all of you who are against it, when is a good time to trade 30+ start to get 1st round picks in return? If you believe what Jerry is selling that we are SB caliber team year in and year out - your answer will be never. I do not believe we are close and we need as many picks as we can get to start the rebuilidng process with the young foundation we have so far

This is either going to require a long term extension which will lock him up until his mid to late 30's or it is going to require eating a lot of money and watching him leave in a couple of years.
Either way, it just isn't a good option. I still think he has at least 2-3 good years left in him, but at that price, we should move on. I would hate to see him turn into Jay Ratliff.
Realistically, we could grab at least a 1st round pick this year with another mid rounder this year or next. Maybe we could even get more.
I am going to duck now.
