We all know that the Giants have a great defense and a weak offense, and the Packers are pretty much the opposite.

So I took a moment to ask how the Packers have performed against superior defenses. In their 6 week hot streak they've done this:
-Scored 21 on Houston (#1 defense)
-Scored 38 on Seattle (#3)
-Scored 38 on Vikings (#5)

Then I ask...can the Giants score big on mediocre defenses? Answer: They don't seem to score big on anyone aside from Cleveland. Working backwards down the schedule:
19, 19, 17, 10, 14, 22, 21...

Unless Manning totally changes form or they suddenly get a running game...I can't see New York scoring more than 17...maybe 21. And the Packers should have enough to cover that.

Also this: Lambeau field

Giants have won their last two playoff games that were at Lambeau. It's not the "Frozen Tundra" anymore. Should be a good game. Still think Giants take it.

Packers are smoking hot, no doubt.

They are nothing like what we played early on. Luckily our defense has played much better than I had ever thought it could, so I'm not as concerned as I used to be about facing elite QB's in the playoffs. But Rodgers can single handedly win games with his mobility and laser arm making plays down the field.

We don't give up big plays within the structure of our defense, but Rodgers changes that with his sandlot style. Once he breaks the pocket, he's taking shots down the field.

Oh really? The high today is 11 with a low of -2. Sunday forecast isn't much different.

Agreed.

I have some thoughts on how we can defend him. But that's best left to next week if they are the team we face.

Who knows, Det could pull the upset and we will know who we are playing before sundays games even happen. Dallas will play one of the 3 myself I don't care who it is.

It will effect both teams the same. My point was, in the past the Pack never lost at home. Those days are gone. They don't have the same home field advantage as they used to.

And those last two games have absolutely nothing to do with this game. Nothing.

Recent playoff history might give the Giants some confidence. It might give the Packers some extra motivation. But a lot of the players are different...so I don't totally disagree w/you.

I do suspect the Giants had better offenses in those previous battles.

This is the NFL and it's also the playoffs. Nothing you can say will change the fact that we have no idea what is actually going to happen. On any Sunday.

Be sure and forward your thoughts to all fans and to the folks in Las Vegas.

I'm sure you'll bring all predictions to a screeching halt...as well as our fun in playing Nostradamus.
