Ahhh
Makes sense now.

Good to hear you're enjoying retirement!

Might get some storms later today. Just in time for rush hour.

Tornado sirens going off. If we can get through tonight, we'll be all right.

As tornado season has gotten underway, there was a tornado outbreak throughout the Southern United States including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and more. Sadly, at least 2 deaths have been reported with one in Louisiana and one in Texas. Additionally, according to Wikipedia, there have been over 18 injuries. Prayers for the families of the victims. The strongest confirmed tornado appears to be an EF-3, but this may change as it's still early in the aftermath process and there are 4 tornadoes including one in the New Orleans area whose ratings are not yet known. The other death appears to be from an EF2 that struck between Sherwood Shores, TX and continued to Kingston, Oklahoma.

This is a reminder for a few things. One, do not take any day for granted. You never know when in an instant like this, it can all be taken away and destroyed. Secondly, with this being tornado season, be sure to have a plan handy in case a tornado warning for your area is issued. If you hear a warning, either from the television, mobile, or sirens, be sure you know what to do. When I lived in Kansas City, they taught us on the first week of March to practice plans and make sure our battery-operated radios were ready in case of tornadoes. Things like this can help.

Spent some of my youth in Tornado Alley. Definitely don't miss those tornado sirens and the constant duck and cover drills.
