I visited Tahoe a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. It's a cool area. Would like to return with my jet skis in tow sometime.

We stayed down towards Stateline. That place made me laugh how the casinos literally start a foot over the Nevada border.
Yeah, the casinos at the state border are pretty rundown (if we’re talking about the same location) and from a bygone era. Last I heard though a developer has plans on record to redevelop that area which is sorely needed.

They didn't seem too bad, though, I'm not a gambler so I didn't spend much time in them. Just walked through them for fun and ate at Fat Burger in one of them.

Ah, I think you may be talking about Reno (I’ve been to that same Fat Burger). When you drive through Incline Village near the NV/CA border there are a handful of casinos (see pic) just past the state line that look 40 years past their prime.

No, these were more modern. I'll throw up a couple Google pics.

We had our first sub 40 F morning today. I had to break out my sweatshirt for our morning walk.

We're visiting Yellowstone in about a month and are expecting freezing temperatures at night along with a little snow.

I've always wanted to visit Yellowstone in midwinter.. it's on my 'to do' list.

Love the change in seasons and especially Fall

The National Weather Service on Monday issued an "excessive heat warning" for Chicago and a host of other Midwest cities.

In all, 38 million people in 11 states are projected to see at least "major" levels of heat risk. Hot and humid air mass is sending heat indices, or "feels-like" readings that measure heat and humidity, soaring to 105 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

Other Midwestern cities being affected by the intense heat include Des Moines, Iowa; the Twin Cities in Minnesota; Madison, Wis.; and Omaha, Neb.
