I don't blame him solely though. I blame him for his terrible throws but I don't think they gameplanned well for life without Romo. It was like they ran the offense catered around Romo's ability to extend plays and take advantage of breakdowns in the secondary. That's not Weeden.
Whatever. We can say the defense wasn't great. Well actually the defense scored 7 and held a good Cardinals offense to 21 additional points. Dallas' defense was suppose to be horrible and they are not. They aren't elite either, but they gave us a chance to win.
Special teams wasn't great, but that only cost us 3 points. Our punting was pretty good and returns not bad either.
So why was this game not competitive? WEEDEN.
He sucked big time. The first interception was inexcusable and the 2nd one was predictable - stare down your receiver type of bad. Meanwhile his throws to wideouts were horrid all day. Miscommunications, misreads, etc. etc. It was like the bad news bears out there.
Weeden is a smart guy and has an arm. There is no excuse to be that bad. Weeden wasn't a leader out there and he costs us a chance to win. 75% of the quarterbacks in this league could have made this game competitive and at least given the team an opportunity. Weeden failed on all accounts.
St Louis just cut Case Keenum. Sounds good to me.
Here he stares down williams and just unloads. The ball bounces behind him. he has no pressure and if he would of made some reads see below

Just a few I noticed and they are more but these here all happened while the score was 14-10 in the 3Q. Our defense played well enough to win and gave the offense plenty of chances to score. The red zone pic hurt the worst maybe Cole scores there.
I missed part of the game but, for the most part, I agree that Weeden was not good.
I also feel, however, that the offensive coaches were out coached by the Cardinals defensive coaches and that Weeden was not placed in the best position to win by anyone (payers and coaches) on the offensive side of the ball. Not enough players elevated their game to help out the backup like the old Cowboys of the 90s did.
Finally, I don't think this one game performance is an indication of how good (or bad) Weeden is as a QB. I think he can play better.
You sir.....are correct. I dont care if the game plan sucked..he could not hit his *** with a bass fiddle. He has no business in the NFL.
Weeden should be unemployed before Monday morning. Surely the Cowboys can do better in the free agent market out there.
Great points it didn't look like much of an adjusted game plan at all.
I was surprised how Weeden under-threw a number deeper balls given his arm strength. The rocket ball short passed looked to be adrenalin - based.
