We have to make a move, this is not the last game we'll need a back-up , I was floored with all the reps the kid has had, how he could be so bad.

As poorly as Weeden played, the OL must be held accountable as well. Having said that, be assured I'll be greatly relieved when Romo returns, however. Getting Leary back should help as well. Parnell didn't strike me as doing too much to alleviate our problems vs. AZ, either. Weeden is obviously a temporary fix that was only entered into due to a difficult cap situation, thanks to our FO's mistaken handling of contracts.

I don't blame him solely though. I blame him for his terrible throws but I don't think they gameplanned well for life without Romo. It was like they ran the offense catered around Romo's ability to extend plays and take advantage of breakdowns in the secondary. That's not Weeden.

Great points it didn't look like much of an adjusted game plan at all.

I was surprised how Weeden under-threw a number deeper balls given his arm strength. The rocket ball short passed looked to be adrenalin - based.

Whatever. We can say the defense wasn't great. Well actually the defense scored 7 and held a good Cardinals offense to 21 additional points. Dallas' defense was suppose to be horrible and they are not. They aren't elite either, but they gave us a chance to win.

Special teams wasn't great, but that only cost us 3 points. Our punting was pretty good and returns not bad either.

So why was this game not competitive? WEEDEN.

He sucked big time. The first interception was inexcusable and the 2nd one was predictable - stare down your receiver type of bad. Meanwhile his throws to wideouts were horrid all day. Miscommunications, misreads, etc. etc. It was like the bad news bears out there.

Weeden is a smart guy and has an arm. There is no excuse to be that bad. Weeden wasn't a leader out there and he costs us a chance to win. 75% of the quarterbacks in this league could have made this game competitive and at least given the team an opportunity. Weeden failed on all accounts.

Baseball player throwing a football. It looked like at times he was waiting for Peterson to give him finger signals on what pitch to throw. I had almost forgotten the Weeden sucks......still.

St Louis just cut Case Keenum. Sounds good to me. ;)

Other than a guy who say, consistently fumbles snaps, I can't imagine that we could do any worse at the QB position than this Weeden fellow.

What really surprises me is how many people thought Weeden would be an adequate back-up. The guy was absolutely putrid and it wasn't just that he played in Cleveland. He couldn't read defenses and made poor decisions but folks think people wear a star on their helmet and are transformed. I don't think any of these flaws just showed up yesterday but our staff probably just thought they could roll the dice for a week or two until Romo returned.

I missed part of the game but, for the most part, I agree that Weeden was not good.

I also feel, however, that the offensive coaches were out coached by the Cardinals defensive coaches and that Weeden was not placed in the best position to win by anyone (payers and coaches) on the offensive side of the ball. Not enough players elevated their game to help out the backup like the old Cowboys of the 90s did.

Finally, I don't think this one game performance is an indication of how good (or bad) Weeden is as a QB. I think he can play better.

Here he stares down williams and just unloads. The ball bounces behind him. he has no pressure and if he would of made some reads see below

He could of had witten for the first down.

Here is were Tony would have worked his magic by scrambling away from the guy in front heading towards the x

And would of hit Escobar I believe for a TD cause Romo would have slipped thru and rolled left

Just a few I noticed and they are more but these here all happened while the score was 14-10 in the 3Q. Our defense played well enough to win and gave the offense plenty of chances to score. The red zone pic hurt the worst maybe Cole scores there.

Wow this is good stuff, thanks!

I agree that Weeden played poorly, he seem to stare down WR especially Dez and I was disappointed the coaches did not use deep balls early in the game to loosen the Cardinals secondary.

There is only so much you can do with a guy. Unless his primary receiver is wide open, standing stationary, he can't hit the target. He can't read a defense, he predetermines where the ball is going pre-snap, and he can't throw to a spot. He is just as bad as he was in Cleveland. There is a reason why they cut bait.

Years & years ago I was at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta when my Cowboys came in to play the Falcons. Starting at QB? The mighty, legendary RYAN LEAF. It was utterly horrible to witness.

I have now finally witnessed an even WORSE quarterback performance, finally. And I never thought it possible.

Weedon better not even think about cashing his game check. That entire thing should be donated to local charities. He earned not one cent of that check.

Really was depressing to see Weeden not make the throws. I questioned his football IQ.....but I NEVER thought his throws would be the problem. That's the most discouraging thing of all.

I enjoyed Garrett's press conf from today.

But you could tell it was not Weeden's first "I sucked today" press conference yesterday after the game. LOL
