up his alley for sureReverend Conehead's threads.
Shouldn't hemorrhoids really be called asteroids?
I work in a flooring store where we do interior design all day every day, and it is most certain that we perceive shades differently. For example i've had a shade of blue on the table before that looked really blue to me until i put a true blue there and then it shaded more to the purple side.Does everyone (with the exception of the colorblind) perceive colors the same way? What if the way I see blue is the way someone else sees red? Colors are determined by the wavelengths, but how do we know how our different brains perceive them?
This thread is about weird things you've thought about that popped into your head at some point....please keep it as clean as possible though.
-Some people think abstractly, some think in words. Deaf people have stated they think in sign language. What do deaf and blind people think in?
I think they only dream in sound.Had a similar conversation to this like 2 weeks ago with a co-worker. We were working downtown and came across a blind person walking. I made mention that I couldn't do it and I commend them for having the strength to be able to live life that way. He asked me if I had to be blind, would I rather have been able to see for awhile in my life and then go blind or have been blind my whole life? That is a tough question. On one hand it would be nice to know what the world looked like at one point but on the other hand maybe not knowing what your're missing would be good too.
That lead us into the next part of the conversation. If somebody who has been blind their entire life, what does the world look like in their head? It has to be pretty damn imaginative.
I would think it would have to be touch, feel and sound.I think they only dream in sound.
Touch and feel are the same thing. .........but I just looked it up after posting that, and according to the source, those who are blind from birth only have auditory dreams.I would think it would have to be touch, feel and sound.
no touch is physical, feel is more emotion. Or that's the way I ment it..sorry.Touch and feel are the same thing. .........but I just looked it up after posting that, and according to the source, those who are blind from birth only have auditory dreams.
