Its the day before the big game. Colston and smith both look likely to play so it should be a fun game. I just hope we dont get railroaded. Shame how were not getting a home game against yall this year unless we beat yall on the road and then meet u in the nfc champ game. Either way i hope both teams get to the nfc championship because i think the nfc needs a marquis rivalry. Saints falcons just aint doin it for us anymore after dominating them twice, and i think youll find us more exciting than eli and the ants, :)

The Saints better "bring it" on Sunday, because the Cowboys will be ready.

Oh, and the Saints are a looooonnng way from being a rival to the Dallas
Cowboys.

It is tough for teams not in the same division to establish a rivalry unless they start meeting in the playoffs or NFC championships regularly. (ie the 9ers/Cowboys of the 90's)

That is what I was thinking. Though this would make two in a row that are played at Texas Stadium.

Cowboys - Commanders
Cowboys - Eagles
Cowboys - Giants

At one time

Cowboys - 49ers
Cowboys - Steelers
Cowboys - Cardinals
Cowboys - Packers

All rivalries at one time or another.

Cowboys - Saints

Never a rivalry, just a game that is very important this year.

I don't think Colston plays Sunday as he has the dreaded high ankle sprain. He didn't practice Friday from what I hear.

You know, Dallas has not beaten the Saints since 1994.

Granted, the Cowboys have won a Super Bowl since then, but the fact remains that the Cowobys have been in a dryspell for over a decade with this team.

It NEEDS to change.....TOMORROW!!!!!

Boys and Cards???

What? when? the 60s!!!

With Payton as the Saints head coach its a natural rivalry for this Cowboy fan who wonders how good the BOYS would be if they hired PAYTON and not PARCELLS!!!

well laugh if u want but i think a competetive game here could start a rivalry in the next few years..lets take a look at the ingredients.

1st and foremost Bill Parcells vs. Sean Payton. This one has gotten a lot of media coverage.

2nd- The two best quarterbacks in the nfc (assuming they both continue to play as theyve been playing.)

3rd- Lots of excowboys play for the saints.

4th- Geography. Yes thats right. Our hometowns are close enough that loads of our fans can make the trip for away games, and same goes for you guys obviously.

Last night BSPN was saying Coltson questionable, Horn is out.

no disrespect but we have too many wanabee rivals. the one that takes the cake is the Commanders. they really beg for the attention.

im not saying we wanna be your rivals. i mean realistically before this year it wouldnt have been much of a compelling rivalry. neither team has consitently played well since the 90s.
but i think the potential is there. this game has drawn more fire from both sides than even our atl games usually do. bet youll see a load of saints fans up there tommorow

the possibilty of a rivalry could exist if both teams start consistently making the playoffs as was the case in 90's where we played the 9ers in like 3 NFC Championships. and for a short time the Pack as well. you never know.

No rivalry, you're just next on the schedule.

I hear what you are saying there Reg. However, for the rivalry to become intense, I think there would have to be several great regular and post-season games played for several years.

The Cowboys and Saints haven't had a history of hooking up when both teams are "post-season" good.

All of this can change though.

I have always wondered why these two teams are not in the same division. If they were, then that would guarantee Dallas one less chance at a cold game on the road (like New York last week).

Then again, myself included, many Cowboy fans love the divisional rivalries they currently have.

hmm interesting post. If both teams remain good for the next few years i could see the regular season contests coming down to whos lucky enough to have homefield advantage. That is the trouble with this huge "test" for the saints. It should be taken with a grain of salt since were on the road against a very good team.

that's what I heard this morning.
Even if Colston is playing, he can't be that close to 100%. They said on NFL Access that he practiced yesterday but "barely"
I think it was John Clayton that said that.

They are so banged up and we're at home, healthy....we BETTER win this game handily.
