This good news expires in approximately 90 minutes.

Prepare yourselves for all the "Why do you think Jerry changed his mind" threads .

Several sources are now reporting Garrett is out - or will be when his contract expires - including USA Today, CBS Sports, ESPN etc …, although still no formal announcement from Cowboys.

LOL, you are in such denial. There has been no official word saying the Cowboys are cutting ties with Garrett.

Yeah, the players are now tweeting out good wishes just for the hell of it...………...I guess they are in denial also, LMAO

Seriously dude, you are just embarrassing yourself now.

You had more board cred when you were rocking a Vikes avatar.

He is not being fired because they would have to pay severance. They will let his contract expire and with respect to him, do no interviewing until the 15th. Unless you count the conversations that've had that start with "______________, let's say there IS an opening, would you be interested"?

The Cowboys have the luxury of time. No other team is showing interest in Meyer or Riley, if they want to go that route, and Rhule isn't a likely candidate for them.

The ones they may have eyes on are still coaching and no other teams have requested to interview them except McDaniels has announced his available interview date as the 10th and CAR, CLE and NYG are interested. Nothing on Roman, Saleh or Stefanski yet and don't rule out Bielema, he has history with the Joneses.

So when does the Jerry apology come? He needs to atone for what he's put the fans through and the disservice he did to the players by forcing an inept coach on them for so long.
He should apologize for ruining the legacy of this organization. At one time, the Cowboys were the class of the league and they were known for being a smart organization that was years ahead of the league. Under Landry, they were known for professionalism and excellence. Jerry has made this team into the Jerry Springer show of the NFL.

Why would they have to pay anything more than the remainder of what is owed on his contract?

Jerry will have no problem apologizing. He does it all the time. Then he'll get right back to doing things exactly the same as he's always done them.

But prepare yourself for another rendition of his man in the mirror speech. It's our version of front office accountability.
