TruthNope, still not official...it is sourcing Werder's tweet....so we still don't have official confirmation.

At this point, if jerry tries to keep garrett the blow back would be incredibleI still refuse to get excited until I hear it from the Cowboys
Would be (not) funny if Jerry and Stephen were sitting around after a few drinks ..
Jerry: "Hey, Stephen, watch this .."
*Jerry makes a phone call*
Jerry: "Hey, Ed! Just wanted to let you know we've decided to fire Garrett!"
Werder: "Thanks for letting me know!"
*hangs up*
*Jerry and Stephen start laughing*
*10 seconds later, a tweet appears ...*
*Jerry and Stephen continue laughing uncontrollably*
Jerry: "Hey, Jason .. come in here .. you're not going to believe what we just got Ed to do!"
Like some have already mentioned on here Ed's source has to be Jerry or Stephen or I don't think ESPN would be running this all over as "Breaking News"
It’s definitely someone reliable. Cowboys, Yankees and Lakers are ESPNs life blood. I doubt they would half a** report something like that.
Semantics. He's been the coach for a decade. He wants to stay. The Cowboys are moving on. Who gives a crap if it's technically firing him or not?
The meltdown if this proved false would be epic! Its now "Breaking News" on the front page of ESPN.com
You gotta believe Werder sourced this with either Jerry or Steven before going public. This is not BleacherReport here, this is freaking ESPN!
This is not the type of thing you half arse off a tip from the janitor who says he overheard the conversation while mopping outside the board room.
Jay Glazer is denying the report on Fox Radio
