Fear of the unknown for Jerry is the primary motive to stand pat with his SleepNumber salesman.

While I agree with every word of your OP Mountain I have zero confidence in Jerry moving on based on contract and how Dak's release would show publicly how wrong they were in investing in and evaluating him.
And Jerry is big on keeping negative public perception off him.
They'll ultimately choose to scapegoat someone or something other than Dak to explain off this year's failures.
A lot of losing in multiple years would need to take place in order for any real changes at QB to take place imo.
And Dak is just good enough to satisfy Jerry of being "relevant."
