Looks like the rest of the teams in NFC east going younger , Skins are going the other way. In adition to their old RBs , they are bringing in Westbrook for a look. Though I have to say Westbrook and Mcnabb together are good , still can this happen ? What would be implications for rest of the beast ?

Sure, Why not throw another injury prone, over the hill back into the mix.

Some people thought Danny was starting to "get it" when he hired Shanny. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Stay gold Danny-Boy.

Westbrook, IMO, is done in this league. Great player, great ride, turn the page.

The type of running game Shanahan implements is not really conducive in regards to Westbrook's concussion history.

Belichick can win with these 30 + year old players, the Commanders unfortunately don't have Belichick as their coach.

When did he do that?

Last time he won a Superbowl his team was young.

give me your old, your broken, your rejects, yoru head cases and we will mold them into a giaratric group that can't be beat on the Sr. league. the Commanders are quickly becoming the Raiders-East

I'm pretty sure Harald Carmicheal is available. I bet the Commanders are looking into that as we speak.

I think Westbrook better days are behind him. Heck of a player in his prime but time and injuries I think have taken their toll

So let me get this straight. They have Willie Parker, Clinton Portis and Larry Johnson. Are they trying to assemble the best fantasy football team from 2005 with McNabb playing QB?

If Westbrook plays he has the potential top be lethal.

To himself.

:laugh2:

Bruce Allen is following in his daddy's footsteps.

The Over the Hill Gang: The sequel!

If you think about it though, Danny's philosophy is not all that different from what has largely been the Skins vision historically.

Didn't work with George Allen, Jack Pardee or the multitude of coaches in the Snyder era. I sincerely doubt it pans out now.

These Skins look to me like a big steaming pile of 8-8. I may even be a bit generous here.

Westbrook is definitely over the hill. But he may still be better than what's coming to camp now. Larry Johnson isn't exactly nimble.

How many backs are they planning to carry on their roster? Off the top of my head they already have Parker, Portis, and Larry Johnson. Are they just signing up everyone they can find to see who sticks? I can't imagine they're actually thinking of signing him with the intent of carrying 4 HBs on gameday, though I guess they could. After all we carry 3.

Brian Westbrook and Bruce Allen were previously skedded to speak to HS students at Springarn High on Wed. That the two would now meet to discuss Westbrook's services sure sounds like matter of convenience to me. Team coulda met with him at any point in past couple months.
