The two most prominent CB contracts right now are Jaire Alexander and Denzel Ward. Alexanders is 4 years, 84 million with 30 guarenteed. Wards is 5 years, 100 million with 40 guarenteed at signing and 70 in total guarantees.

With Diggs contract, I can see it looking like 4 years, 90 million with 35 to 40 guarenteed

I mean he's worth it.

Won't have an issue like I had with Daks.

Diggs, Parsons. Those are guys you pay
One of the things I was worried about before the season is AJ Terrell signing before him and resetting the market. But Terrel is having a down year. Fulton has been very good the last couple but he isnt a reset the market caliber player.

I dont think anyone is going to jump in and drive Diggs price even more

If he stays on his current trajectory, I have no problem with that.

The defense is outperforming their pay while the offense is underperforming theirs.

It’s all about the guarantees.

There’s usually fluff on the back end that makes it look like something it really isn’t.

Pay the man.

We needcto do some preemptive trimming next off season.

Zeke- pay cut. If we are gonna have a two-headed running attack we gotta feed both heads equally.

CB Brown- Holla it was nice knowing ya..

LVE- has a decent contract but is he holding this defense back. Open competition. Damone Clark? BTW, is Damone Clark a "Thumper " or olb type?

How about Kearse? Do we have the horses to delete him?

Tyron Smith- I keep hearing his contract is "cap friendly" but seriously I hope he finishes this season strong then add him to a trade package for picks.

Steele- has earned a fair contract.

Last but not least. Do we really want to restructure Daks contract? I say we bite the bullet and keep the contract as is. Draft a developable qb. We could only wish the Daks and Rodgers of the NFL would use a part of their outrageous salaries to "purchase " WR1 to extend their careers.

Hell I would trade Diggs, only problem is no team would be willing to give me what I want in return. lol Any player is tradeable at the right price it is just sometimes the price is too high for anyone to take it. Get Minn on the phone

With the younger guys I don’t get as hung up on the guaranteed dollars as with the veteran signings because you expect them to perform at a high level for the entire deal. The issue with Diggs is when you also add to it a Lamb and Micah deal. Hopefully the cap keeps going up as expected. With a low first year hit for those guys we should be able to get passed the biggest cap hits of Dak’s deal.

This comment after seeing how badly we have needed Dak year after recent year when backups have had to play while Dak misses time due to injury?
I agree that Dak is overpaid. Shouldn't be getting more than $30 mil/season, but that fault falls on Jerry since he tagged Dak TWICE before being forced to overpay after the anté had gone up repeatedly due to Jerry's repeated denials. Jerry could have had Dak signed for $27 mil/season had he been smart enough to resign Dak during Dak's last year (4th) of his original rookie contract. So if you and other Dak haters want to blame anyone, put the blame where it truly deserves: Jerry Jones.

when an avg of 40 mill at QB is only 8th in terms of pay in the NFL, Dak is not over paid. Had Jerry gotten Dak signed a year earlier yeah he could have signed him to 30 to 35 mill which was the market rate for FA QB. People want dirt cheap from a position that is not cheap.

I heard Mahomes gets 36 million on a 10 year contract. Wouldn't want to do that with Dak.
