As things turned out, McCarthy's decision to sit out the starters was wise, considering what happened to our youngsters.

Otherwise, our injuries could easily have been significantly more damaging if our starters hadn't been held out of action.

Also disappointing that I get blocked from commenting in another thread all while a known race-baiter (QCard) continues to post. I will never understand questionable decision making.

I see people saying this, but I wonder what you guys were expecting??
He isnt here to get sacks, it is to clog up the middle and help stop hurts on those qb sneaks.
We are expecting a first round pick to look like a first round pick. He is supposed to get tackles, and he isn't doing that at all. He is also not clogging anything up either. I don't know where you guys got this idea of the starting DT that is just there to take up space. Nobody looks for a tackle who only does that, and even if that were what we wanted Smith isn't providing that. He is getting dominated by scrubs.

Yes...I'm not questioning admin...just not sure how he's allowed to post that garbage. He knows what he's doing. He even gets off on it....his cute little smilies at his own imagined cleverness.

You arent qualified to talk about running backs. You still havent figured out that Pollard is better than ZEke. LOL

And now you dont like Deuce? It almost gaurantees he will have a good career as a back.

Olines affect every back and every QB. At some point, maybe you will learn that.

Pollard and Zeke ran behind the same line and Pollard was just much better.

Are you using Oline as an excuse for your hero Zeke sucking at 3.8 ypc?

How did Pollard average 5.3 ypc behind the exact same line? DOH!!!!!

Would love to hear you explain away that one. LOL
Tony needs to "carry the load" before you pronounce him NFL rushing champion. I'm gonna cheer him on!

You'd think you'd be grateful to Zeke for keeping Tony's career fresh.

You hated Zeke from Day 1. As if a very sore 'bama fan. That game still rankles you to this day...lol.

Another loss for a useless preseason game. End it.
SO the injuries will just happen in the first 4 weeks?

Nature of the game. These bubble players and execs need these games to see who stays.

How can other teams start their starter QBs/et.al. without issue. Weird.

Last season the offense was terrible in game #1 and Dak got hurt.

Take from that what you will.

I question if Davis makes the team. If Dowdle was not injured last season, Davis probably would have been on the PS. It all depends on the numbers game. Keep a 4th RB, 6th WR (which they usually do).
Put them in equal situations and I think you get similar results the majority of the time. I think Davis has a higher ceiling. Seems to have the instincts to set up bigger runs. Rico IMO has talent & maximizes it with high effort. Good solid player but not likely to rip off big runs. I think the group will be fine if we give them decent blocking.

There should be a limit of only one emoji per post, the children would quiet down a bit perhaps.

If we have any significant injuries on the offensive line this season, it’s over.
