it's not a shame as much as our team is much improved and could afford to jettison him.

we're that much further removed from the campo/coach and jerry/player evaluator era.

I'm still a Pettiti fan but as others have pointed out we kept the most talented youngsters while keeping the vet who can keep us in the hunt hopefully. I think Rob can play in the NFL. And we don't know what he will develop into. Hopefully time will decide in our favor for making the right decisions on whom to keep and cut.

This may have already been posted, but I was pretty surprised to see that we let Petitti go.

I think he looked good for a young Tackle. Most OL need 2-3 years to mature anyway.

I sure hated to see him go, especially since he could play both tackles.

We will RUE the day ...

Another failed draft pick by Parcells and an Ol at that. Rogers,Peterman and now Petitti. Seems like the our best linemen were drafted by Jerry Jones, of all people.
