What a waste of talent in the 3/4

I'm not aware of that tradition. I'm not saying you're wrong, but if you've done the "homework" you speak of I'd sure like to see the statistics. Really, I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, and I've not looked at any numbers, but I've seen lots of teams playing a 3-4 defensive scheme shut down runningbacks as well as teams running a 4-3. I just think it has more to do with personnel and execution than the scheme itself.

I agree that its not the scheme but ther COACHING...

we are wasting a very talented Defense. I believe we could have one of the best D's ever if we ran a 4/3.

Watching Raiders run like that is a joke. Their RB sucks and we couldnt stop him.

Put Freg and Glover beside each other and let them kick butt.


Now it seems like when we send a LB its always Ware anyways. I never see us blitz the otherside.

I want the 4/3 back.

sorry, but that has nothing to do with it...the guy calling the plays and making the game plans is, and has always been the biggest problem

It's not the scheme but having the right personell to run the appropreate scheme.

It looks like we are better at stopping speed backs with 3-4 and better at stopping power backs with 4-3.

It's up to the coaches to know this and adjust accordingly.

but we still cant stop the pass in either scheme...cant rush the passer...long yardage conversions seem to be the norm and we've given up 70+ yd bombs in each of the last 3 games

it aint the scheme people...6 yrs of the same thing defensively, same guy calling the shots...new players...new schemes...new head coahc, same lousy results on defense

What I would like to see them do is bring Ware from a lot of spots.
Not just the one side.
The Giants used to do this a lot with LT to disrupt the other teams O scheme.
You always had to find out whare that player was.
