It's considerably more than 2.5. 2.5 is his base salary. It would make more sense to see if he can come back in 2015 and cut him after that if he doesn't do well.

I was under the impression that this year he was getting his bonus money up front. The rest was incentive based base salary. I guess I misunderstood his contract. Thanks for the heads up if so.

Not really concerned whether you take me seriously or not, I'm just giving facts.

Lee has gotten hurt a lot and it sucks. but he has enough talent and ability that he is worth keeping, just like Romo.

And you are doing the same exact thing by representing his age as 'nearly 30' to help make your point. As if 30 is the magic number that all players stop playing well.

It's a good rough estimate as to when to expect the human body to either start breaking down or no longer heal as well as it used to. Don't act like the aging process is something you've never encountered before. That's just being dense. You're trying to argue for the sake of arguing.

I'll agree that Lee's and Romo's talents are comparable, but you are trying to make the case that their injury history is when it isn't even close by any standard whatsoever.

I've read several sources saying it's a triad. ACL, MCL and medial meniscus. May be career ender. You would almost hope so, as to not pay that stupid salary.

You hope it's a career ender so Dallas doesn't have to pay him? Doubt you would feel this way if it was romo.

I agree with this. Move forward as if he will never play again and tell him he has to win the starting job back whenever he get back and stay on the field. He should not be given anything any longer. He should now be considered a luxury when healthy and nothing more until it makes sense to part ways.

He hasn't been given anything he hasn't earned. And he would beat out 95% of all LBers for the starting job.

I'm pulling for Lee to come back and have a long NFL career. The guy is a worker and wants to do well for this team. He's a guy everyone needs to root for. Tougher than the paper champions on this board who have turned on him as if he's somehow done then wrong by getting hurt.
