after the ohio state game , Sark stock will either shoot up or down. Texas gave him all the tools and the money to win it all . Losing at AT&T will not go down very well.
All depends on which Quinn Ewers is going to show up and if the longhorns revert back their Big 12 ways and decide that defense is optional in football games.

No thanks. He has it made at Texas and Jerry will have him hitting the bottle again by training camp.

true , but the run game stalled big time vs Arizona state !!! which was alarming. a loss to Arizona state would have been a big hit on his resume after the 2 losses vs Georgia this season. He has all the parts to beat Ohio state in dallas. This game will reveal a lot on whether he can win the big game.

Those Georgia losses were sort of a head scratcher. Team looked way too tight.

If we can't keep Mike McCarthy, what about Steve Sarkisian? He's done well with Texas. He seems to have built a great culture at Texas. He was the OC with the Falcons from 2017-2019, so, he's got NFL coaching experience. Perhaps we could have something there? Plus, he's not a HC retread.
Sark makes between 50-120% more than McCarthy does andhas much more control

This doesnt even seem like a serious question, but no harm in asking it

Did you see those 2017-19 Falcons teams?

Nope, your stuck with the same HC until Dak is gone. It's like a father/son team now and Grandpa is the owner.

I have mentioned this before, but I do not think he would consider leaving Texas unless they win the National Championship this year. I like him—I like him a lot—and he is a younger guy who should be able to relate to these kids. He would be our OC, and I love Pete Kwiatkowski, the DC. Unfortunately, it will NEVER happen.

Look I'm a Longhorn fan and I'm telling you the defensive coordinator and what that defense is doing is more impressive than what Sark is doing he is the OC and the head coach and I see a lot of issues with our offense at times but sure I think he'd make a great offensive coordinator to start in the NFL to see if he's even worth a head coaching job but he's not available he's not interested but I'm not sure the transition would be much different than Meijer or Saban or Chip Kelly or all those guys I mentioned in my other post Bobby petrino I mean come on Urban Meyer they didn't make it over here...

But if you look at Texas and again I'm a Longhorn fan what that defense has done the last two years is far more impressive it looks like a prostyle defense then what the system created on offense with Sark I don't know man I do like all the motion and misdirection but I'm not sure how that would workout and again I'm a huge Longhorn fan I'm just telling you why bring up a name and he's not interested he's never came up and said he'd be interested in leaving and I'm telling you I believe he started something and he hasn't finished it yet they literally wanna win the SEC he wants to do it with arch manning so I don't think that's on the table right now I know he has an ego big enough to coach in the NFL..
I can think of 4-5 players on that defense that Dallas should draft in May.

I don't see it. College has equal or more pull compared to the NFL for to top Head coaches these days, especially if the coaches can work with the transfer portal frequency for and against.

Steve made 10.3mil last year. That's double what MM got here.

I doubt Jerry would want to pay any coach a guaranteed 10mil+ per year.
10.3 mil?...I wonder why tuition costs are so high.

I'm talking about him becoming a HC. I meant to say if we can't keep Mike McCarthy, I'd like Sarkisian. With that said, depends on if Jerry can make him a good offer, and if Steve wants to be an NFL HC.
Jerry is too cheap. Mike won a SB and Jerry only paid him 6/year. The cowboys might be more high profile but Steve has the better job right now.

That's fair, but maybe someone else in the college ranks would be a good idea. Perhaps Dillingham at Arizona State might be a good idea.

If me or you or most normal people were in charge yes college coaches would be included in the search. I don't remember Jerry ever interviewing a college coach post jimmy.
