What are your thoughts on Ryan Flournoy

1) they should keep drafting a WR on day 3
2) not all small school WRs disappoint
3) Junior did a nice job with the group overall

good no 3 ,glad we hit on a late RD WR.its always good to invest in very athletic guys later on in the draft regardless of the position.

He was definitely a happy surpise this year. Some stats on him

40 catches on 53 targets (75.5%)
475 yards
4 TD's
65% of his snaps wide
35% of his stats in the slot
A note: his breakout game week 14 he played 59.5% outside and 40.5% in the slot

Thats pretty good production for a #3 WR on a team with Lamb and Pickens. Similar to what we got in Wilson's walk year. His ability to play inside and out really helps us matchup hunt with Lamb with teams that dont have there top CB follow the top WR.

What do you expect from Flournoy this year
Took advantage of Lamb and Pickens getting all of the attention unlike Ferguson.:Seems to be able to beat third corners and safeties unlike Tolbert. Clearly the teams number 3 receiver over Tolbert and Mingo. Let’s see if he can get to 50 catches, 700 yards, and 7 touchdowns next season.

He’s a hands catcher, great trait for wr, there’s a highlight of him on YouTube for 2025 seasons, good hands, I would be ok with him as number 2 if they traded Pickens for Maxx or something….i think he can give as good as Gallup and more, and we had the to[ scoring offense with Gallup or Cooks as #2 in 2023. He catches well, runs hard after catch, blocks, turning into a good player.
Lose Pickens, takes away our best deep threat, where teams can just sit on those underneath routes.

Why get rid of a star receiver and replace him with a solid backup?
Inever said I wanted rid of Pickens. You might have missed it but I said somewhere...Pickens isn't the reason we can't build a defense.

Lamb, Pickens, and Flounoy should be fearsome.

Most of this board has that opinion. I am in agreement with you, we want to keep that strength moving forward not lesson it.

Flourney shows himself to be a worthy WR candidate to retain. He displays excellent promise. I see a talent level in him that would be unfortunate to part with. He's too promising a depth piece to lose, at this particular juncture. Divesting ourselves of a valuable player is never a sound consideration.

I expect him to get all the targets Tolbert got, that’s 34 more targets.

He is a solid #2 meaning they should tag and trade Lamb or Pickens for either draft picks or players to help defense.
lol, fantasy land. First of all you can’t tag lamb and it would be mighty expensive to trade him

True, and I want to keep him, but if we could trade him for say Maxx and draft and get good D free agents, I think the help to our D would be more important. In 2023 we had the highest scoring O in the league with Gallup/Cooks as our #2 wr…..we proved we can have a great O without 2 dominant WRs. We just need so much on D that it MIGHT be worth it if we got a player like Maxx out of it….him paired with our DTs, resign Clowney…man our line would be locked in, could drat a Corner and best LB or safety in first (there’s a couple good LB in FA too)…combined with our new DC and scheme….we could move to middle of the pack on D….we were so bad that we missed the playoffs with 2 stuff WRs.

I meant tag Pickens and than decide between Pickens and Lamb aka butterfingers. I would offer Lamb to the 49ers for Fred Warner.

A very intriguing player. Very much like Miles Austin as an UDFA that became a starter.

When Pickens gets $35-$37m per year from Jerry he will definitely be part of the problem.
