What are your thoughts on Ryan Flournoy

True, and I want to keep him, but if we could trade him for say Maxx and draft and get good D free agents, I think the help to our D would be more important. In 2023 we had the highest scoring O in the league with Gallup/Cooks as our #2 wr…..we proved we can have a great O without 2 dominant WRs. We just need so much on D that it MIGHT be worth it if we got a player like Maxx out of it….him paired with our DTs, resign Clowney…man our line would be locked in, could drat a Corner and best LB or safety in first (there’s a couple good LB in FA too)…combined with our new DC and scheme….we could move to middle of the pack on D….we were so bad that we missed the playoffs with 2 stuff WRs.
Getting Crosby for him is a pipedream, it is ESPN driven to get clicks. It was recently reported that Pickens would be worth a 2nd rd pick. Crosby is going to be a little less then the Parsons deal.

He is a solid #2 meaning they should tag and trade Lamb or Pickens for either draft picks or players to help defense.
Good Defense almost always beats good offense!
We would still have a good offense with Flournoy. We need our defense to make big strides this off season. For the defense to make big strides trading Pickens for a top defender would be a great start!

He "might" be. The sample size is too small and he benefitted from having both Lamb and Pickens on the field. Point is...he's largely unproven at this point. He's a bit tough to bring down. Good hands. The Cowboys thought that Gallup would supplant Amari Cooper and it ended in disaster the following year (2022). The Cowboys thought they could replace Harper, Owens, Bryant and Cooper. In all cases the WR room just wasn't as good in the years that followed.

You don't need to trade for anything. You can get a good edge rusher in FA. Clowney had 8.5 sacks and 12 TFLs this past season. The most on the team in both metrics...and he only played 13 games.

Flournoy is largely unproven. He had Lamb and Pickens on the field. What happens when he draws the top cornerbacks in the league week-in and week-out? That's what we don't know. And if Lamb goes down then what? Why tamper with good depth and the best man coverage/contested catch duo in the NFL.? They can both change a game on any given play.

I meant tag Pickens and than decide between Pickens and Lamb aka butterfingers. I would offer Lamb to the 49ers for Fred Warner.
How about fixing the defense without weakening the offense? Plus it’s costly to trade lamb

It’s also much easier to get open against a D also trying to defend lamb and Pickens. I like the kid a lot and think he could develop into a solid 2 but it’s too soon to know. We need to fix the defense without weakening the offense

He's a good player (only getting better) that can be a part of the offense, with or without Pickens here. Can he be a good #2 if we lost GP, IDK. But I think he can be at least decent in that role if need be.

He was definitely a happy surpise this year. Some stats on him

40 catches on 53 targets (75.5%)
475 yards
4 TD's
65% of his snaps wide
35% of his stats in the slot
A note: his breakout game week 14 he played 59.5% outside and 40.5% in the slot

Thats pretty good production for a #3 WR on a team with Lamb and Pickens. Similar to what we got in Wilson's walk year. His ability to play inside and out really helps us matchup hunt with Lamb with teams that dont have there top CB follow the top WR.

What do you expect from Flournoy this year
Not impressed by him.

To me he didnt look like he is ready to be a relyable 3rd WR. Have to see more from him.

Dont misunderstand me. He showed some flashes. But then again disapeared for way to long.

We can only hope he's as good as Mingo one day
