What could the Cowboys learn from the Philly team building model

We built our team this way with our line in 2014 . We just didn’t add anything to our defense in 2016 after we drafted Dak. That was the time to build, also had another chance in 2021, drafted parsons went 12-5 when no one thought we would be that good. Offseason came and did nothing. Weak ****
That's the key!! 2016, we had a pro-bowl QB on a rookie deal, the league's best offensive line and RB, an all-pro WR, and all-pro TE, and instead of going for it that window, we were tight-bums in FA and let the opportunity slip.

Stephen needs to study how to get a great GM in here and then move out of the way, which isn't happening. Jerry just handed the controller over to Stephen and we get to see him try to run his real life madden season year after year.
I agree, I just don't think he's going to hire a real GM. So, the least he can do is study successful organizations and try to learn.

So you are proclaiming that Jerry just lies about how much he has to do w/ it?
What lies? Your narratives of who does what in your head are unlikely to match what Jerry actually said. If you want to bring up Jerry quotes and prove he says he does what you claim then fine. this presumption that he said what you want him to say is fun though.

Of course you aren't stating what you think he actually said or did; rather like the last guy you want to win a point of fact.

Dude, cut the personal attacks. They make you appear pathetic.

Jerry continuously has said he is the decision maker. Gotta get out from under that rock you're living under!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was the personal attack? You don't get to speak for Jerry as you are doing again here. Quotes, not what you think he said, chachi.

I think you’re talking about the Jets with Joe Douglas. Joe Douglas was just fired.
No, this guy worked in the front office with Roseman. It was just contract not building of a team, or player evaluations. I found it.

Howie Roseman, the Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager for the Philadelphia Eagles, lost one of his top lieutenants, Brandon Brown, to the New York Giants. Brown was hired as the Giants' assistant general manager, a move that Roseman perceived as inconvenient and prompted him to act out. Roseman expressed disappointment and tried to prevent similar departures by proposing a rule change to the NFL, which would allow teams to deny interview opportunities for secondary football executive positions until after the NFL Draft.

I have no reason to be sore because of Moore or anybody else getting a ring as an offensive coordinator. Our problems here in Dallas are bigger than an offensive code. My point is, yes Moore got a ring and contributed to what the Eagles were doing.... but the Eagles would have won the Superbowl with or without Moore. They are just that talented.

Maybe Moore has gotten wiser when it comes to in-game situations, but he wasn't wise when he was here, bottom line.

You spend excessive amounts of time discrediting or diminishing KM’s accomplishments. It’s no big deal. You obviously blame him for previous struggles of Dallas’ on field performance-but then turn around and take the credit from him away when it suits your narrative.

He’s had very good success overall as an OC. I’m actually in some agreement that it’s mostly on the players-good OR bad results. KM was plenty wise here and did not have some revival in two years. He just had better players to execute the plays. We shall see how well the next OC does in his place in Philly.

KM was appointed as OC way too soon. He was not ready. Is he better now? I think so, especially if he's learned how to run the ball.

Nevermind. This guy wasn't it either. The guy I am thinking of was a numbers guy and would help do contracts.

True, but it’s not like he was garbage here. They scored lots of points. The problem was Zeke had already lost a step and got the huge contract early on with Kellen. Travis having to retire and all the injuries to Tyron. They didn’t have the personnel to dominate anymore, so he went to more passing plays. Philly’s strength currently is with the run, so they lean on it then play action.
