What did Denver do?

Everyone is panic mode..I get it.

This is a thread for the “neutral minded” fans…did you see Denver so anything we hadn’t seen on defense?

I’d like to begin to take a stab at breaking down logistically what they did to make us ineffective.
Got to convert those early 3rd downs. Keep their defense on the field and ours off it.

It’s what we didn’t do that got us beat. We didn’t have the energy we’ve shown all season. Dak was clearly off his game and the defense resembled last years. Denver wanted this game a lot more than we did. We came in overconfident now we have to see if we have any confidence left after the beating we took.

to date,i thought their defense did the best job taking away our run game.
pollard had some nice gains...but their focus seemed to be on zeke.
even in the pass game, they took zeke away.
i figured we could get something over the top but their db's did better than our wr's.
looking at the rankings...their D lived up to them.
i'm sure moving forward, other teams will try to copy this but they better have denver's secondary.
i think we bounce back v atlanta.
but the bottom line...denver stuffed our run game and won the 1 on 1's vs our pass game.

moving forward...when we're getting stuffed in our run game...its inexcusable for this offense to not get plays over the top.
bad throws,dropped passes.
can't happen with our talent level.
we will see this kinda defensive effort again.
hopefully...our guys handle their business.

They capitalized on a weak o line and a rusty dak and they were way more energized. They wanted to win this game. We went into this game like it was a penciled in win after that Minnesota miracle and just got beat up on both sides of the ball.

They got disrespected.......bigtime.

The Cowboys acted like they could have sent the first team on vacation and still win. Tyron out? No big deal, we have this undrafted 2nd year player that exceed expectations. The fact that he made the team should have exceeded expectations. He played well.....compared to who? Tyron Smith? Please.

Maybe Dak plays, maybe he doesn't. It's the Broncos. What difference could it make?

Von Miller is traded. Automatic win for the Cowboys because we all know the Bronco's wouldn't have traded him unless they knew it would be hopeless for the rest of the season......because teams generally decide to tank their season at 4-4.

Broncos with a top ten defense and top 5 in takeaways. However, the Cowboys prolific offense, featuring a hobbled quarterback with his two favorite hobbled receivers ands protected by the replacement for a future Hall of Fame hobbled left tackle.......How could the Broncos stop that?

Teddy Bridgewater? How could he be a factor when he has to face the 28th ranked passing defense in the league? How could they even run the ball having to face that veteran, seasoned, rookies-dominated D-line. They've seen it all.....well, some of it.

If any NFL team feels disrespected enough, they can elevate their game to the point that they can beat you if you let them. And the Cowboys let them.

Offense has had little practice together the last few weeks, coupled with Tyron being out, and WRs banged up we were out of sync in all facets.

Denver stacked the box, played wrs physical knocking them off their routes and limiting short and intermediate routes. There were plays open down the field, but blitzes and the Cowboys offensive line didn't provide Dak enough time to get an accurate throw out.

If you listen to players and coaches after the game....

- They were determined to stop the run and stacked the box
- They played aggressive man on the WR and made contact at the LOS
- They out hit us on both sides of the ball
- Clearly they were ready to play and felt disrespected

We were sleep walking...got out hit and out hustled.

In terms of a blueprint, here is what teams may try:

Against our offense:
- Focus on stopping the run by getting men in the box
- Play aggressive, match-up man against our WR and hit them at the LOS - make it hard for them to get open. Don't play soft.

Against our defense
- Run between the tackles and don't stop doing it
- Run crossing routes with the WR
- Don't be afraid to throw at Diggs - but throw it over the top and on crossing patterns

We shall see if this 'blueprint works'.

Anybody mention yet that the blueprint is now out there to stop our unstoppable offense?

I’m sure a couple football geniuses on ESPN and Fox Sports will try to be original in pointing that out.

Stephen S Smith and Shannon Sharpe will be must watch TV tomorrow for a few laughs.

LOL, I will be watching both for sure.

DEN watched us play putridly on O and drove the bus as they always do when they were on O. This wasn't their D shutting us down so much as it was our O shooting itself down.

Dak was rusty , not enough practice, overall team thought showing up is good enough.
Then OL shuffle was bad , denver all game got home with 4 man rush.
Coaching staff should have realized and changed the game plan , dink and dunk maintaining possession, they didn’t and lopsided 2:1 possession time, also underestimated Denver running game.
Got handed their butts to them.

They attacked our perimeter and played with an intensity we didn’t match. We didn’t adjust well defensively or offensively. Wash it down the drain.

We had v en flirting with a L the last two games and she finally returned the affection.

The game was about what Dallas didn’t do more than about what Denver did.
