What Did We Learn About the Eagles?

I noticed they don’t have narcissistic senile snake oil salesmen masquerading as a general manager and a quarterback who craps the bed
I noticed that too.

When they won the SB and presented the trophy....I saw a guy in a suit holding the Lombardi and I was like "who's that guy? Oh...it's the owner"

Their owner wanted less camera time after winning a SuperBowl, then our narrsasistic senile snake oil salesman wants after a pre-season game win.

Pathetic

100%. That game was won by D, plain and simple. O was good too, don't get me wrong, but the D held KC to 0 points in the first half.
Held them to 0 mid way through the 3rd.

They essentially held them to 0 until the game was won, and they started focusing on milking the clock and celebrating on the sidelines.

I have no doubt they coulda shut them out completely and knocked Mahomes out of the game if they wanted to....but I think they just started feeling like they were beating up a 90 year old woman and just started taking it easy on them out of pity

Not out of pity, that's simply winning football. Get a good lead toward the end of the 3rd, then keep everything in front of you.

I read an interesting funny stat from this years superbowl.

Patrick Mahomes threw for more yardage and TD's than any other QB AFTER the opposing head coach got his Gatorade shower from his players.

I had to look. Coach got hit at 2:52 and the Chiefs just scored with the score 40-14.

So the stat was wrong in that Mahomes only threw one touchdown after the "bath".

Not even sure a stat is kept for after a gatorade bath LOL

They will be extinct in 2029, but they have something we haven't won in about 30 years

I have no doubt the Eagles owner and Howie Roseman told the coach to ease up out of respect for Andy Reid...since he's the Eagles most winningest coach in history and still thought of very highly there.

No way. They were playing prevent D. Why? Because playing in your face D no matter what is a better road to a comeback than playing prevent clock eating D. They backed off so the clock would run, plain and simple.

Not only that Reid would be horrified at the thought of the other team backing off to respect him. That is actually disrespectful in itself. And not done.
