What Did We Learn About the Eagles?

They play football in a dumpster fire city. I pray for Eagle's fans that I know every time they go to Philadelphia to watch them, or for any reason.

The importance of the running game and ability to stop the run. Hurts did not put up his best numbers but did not need to with Barkley taking on a bigger role.

Apparently you weren't around in 1993 in Dallas? Yes, I know, that was a LONG time ago...

Chiefs had a shooting the other year.

Yes, Eagle fans are idiots, but you put a crapload of people in one place, and it doesn't take much for things to get out of hand.
Don't make excuses for Eagle fans. They don't need it.

Howie Roseman knows more about picking and signing players better than Jerry does......too easy.

Eagles will probably be the 1st team to 3peat. Dont see no one stopping them as long as they have Hurts and Barkley
No, Hurts and Barkley aren't the biggest reason they won. It was their shutdown D. I mean, didn't you watch the game? It's more like, as long as they have Carter and Davis it's going to be hard to stop them.

As a Birds fan it is clear Howie runs circles around Jerry. Think Jerry got burn't in free agency years back and has not ventured back again. The eagles have shown you can pay players and still add to the team. The cap goes up every year, Howie knows that and maybe will pay the price but he does think 3 to 4 years down the road on contracts. Huff was his bad signing and wasn't even active for the SB. It happens.

Getting ahead but there is a chance. I have been a birds fan for decades and thought I would never see them win a super bowl much less two and go to three in the last 10 years. Old enough to remember the Cowboys in their prime and that was something back then.

Doubtful. Hurts has already had injury issues, and Barkley has had them from the start. Was Barkely staying healthy an aberration or a portent of things to come?

Barkley was huge for this super bowl run. I will say this, that kid Philly drafted in 23, Tanner McKee, looked competent. W/ a competent Qb, Barkley, and that D front, maybe they can.

Hard to get hurt when you rush for 1,000 yards without being touched.

True…but they rode him hard this year. He’s now 28. It wouldn’t surprise me if they targeted another RB in the top 3 rounds this draft. They will have to lighten his load going forward

I would not say being tackled by DB's is a load.

And that from a guy who is prone to miss games w/ injury. How long will he now last?
If their plan is to give him that many touches again next year, it’s a plan that will likely not succeed. I think they realize this and will draft another back with the goal of keeping Barkley, healthy towards the end of the season and playoffs.
