Zeke just isn’t a bell cow anymore.
And parsons was a bad pick. And kaaya and Beathard were more pro ready than mahomes, and Dak Prescott wasn’t elite. I can keep going all day with your wrong takes that only you believe to be right. Just respect other people’s opinions man. Jeeze

I think it's very possible that Zeke will be gone after next season (cap purposes and decline in play) and it's slightly possible Pollard is here in 2023 with a new contract and a 2nd or 3rd round pick is used on a RB in the 2023 draft.

2022
Zeke
Pollard

2023
Pollard
2nd/3rd round rookie RB

They were more pro ready than Mahomes.

Just like Mac Jones was more pro ready than the 4 QBs that went ahead of him. Doesn’t mean I would take Mac Jones over those 4 QBs.

Parsons does exactly what I thought he could do at linebacker. I prefer him rushing the QB over making some tackles and covering guys in obvious pass situations.

We have three good runningbacks on our roster right now. Rico Dowdle Jr should be easy to keep for cheap. So no worries for me.
I really like Dowdle but ball security and injuries held him back in college. I’m hoping they don’t here because they’ve already popped up in the short time he’s been here.

Dude looks like a good change of pace back though I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he took that role assuming Pollard leaves.

Let’s say due to financial implications you can’t keep Tony and Zeke. Do you:
a. Draft a replacement for Zeke next draft.
b. Draft a replacement for Tony next draft
c. Pray that Tony takes a low ball offer..

Draft two RB's. One on the 2nd day and one on the 3rd day. A cowbell in the 3rd round and a Tony Pollard around the 5th.

B...Zeke will be here next season. I know that's not what some fans/posters wanna hear but it is what it is. Pollard will likely get a mid-tier starting offer from another team. In other words, he's likely gone after this season and honestly, I'm happy for the kid......good for him

Pollard may get more money than we expect. McKinnon didn't do a whole lot to earn the contract 49ers gave him. Wether it's smart or not is a different conversation, but it wouldn't suprise me if he is paid well.

This is not something to be concerned about. Ride him while he lasts and then rinse wash repeat. Unless you get a Taylor, Henry, maybe Zeke type. Pay them but these wacky RB contracts should be a thing of the past.

I think by the end of next season you’ll see more noticeable decline in zeke. If you can resign pollard for not crazy money, that’s probably the move.
Not a bad idea if you cut Zeke and replace him with a much cheaper contract.

You watch to see what happens. He tests the waters, and if he gets a big contract that would mess up your salary structure, you let him walk and hope he makes a lot of money as a starter so you get a nice comp pick.

Pollard will not get a big contract from the Cowboys. Our only chance is if another team sees him as a RB the way we use him, not as a starter.

Like Pollard but we can get another running back he's not a major concern. Do think we'll be looking for someone who can catch the ball thanks to Pollard.

Stud back ya pay, everyone else one contract deals. So many RB's out there, hell at least 4 per school for the 130 D1 schools, don't need to worry about RB;s.
ISU's RB, Breece Hall, will be available in the 2022 draft to replace Pollard. Breece may not be picked until 3rd round.

Zeke is 26 now. He’ll play 2 more years, maybe 3, and be shown the door.

He’s a couple of pizzas and a desert away from looking like last year at all times too. Just remember that.

Hopefully he keeps himself in shape going forward.
He is not a easy comparison as most of the time he is equivalent to having an OLineman in the backfield for protection. I have to say goodbye to Pollard and draft another speed guy and hope to hit the lottery again. Kearse, and a certain TE have emerged to demand an additional contract.

Some tackles. Lol. You kill me man. Where are they now? These more pro ready guys? Did they come out of the gate and play over mahomes? Pretty sure neither ever started a game. Just stop doubling down.

And when he looks average as a starter more and more of our posters here that think they are general managers and experts at talent will look even worse than they do now lol.

I love Tony and, as I’ve mentioned here before, followed him at Memphis.

3rd and 11 from the 20. NO WAY Pollard splits those defenders at the 15 and, if by a miracle he had, they tackle him at the 10 short of the first down. Zeke carried #27 on his back for 5 yards on that play.

I think you're borrowing trouble from too far in the future. We've got the rest of this season and next season to see how it shakes out.

There’s exactly no reason to expect that. He’s 26.
