Tony Pollard ranks No. 1 in the NFL in yards per carry among running backs with 10+ carries.

you pay him or someone will.

Why not re-sign him? Everyone seems to think we won't be able to re-sign anyone. Maybe not everyone can be re-signed but some will be re-signed... Gregory, Kearse, Schultz, Pollard. These guys have to be our priority.

Let’s say due to financial implications you can’t keep Tony and Zeke. Do you:
a. Draft a replacement for Zeke next draft.
b. Draft a replacement for Tony next draft
c. Pray that Tony takes a low ball offer..
Draft someone younger. Scat backs come a dime a dozen.

Pollard is here this year and all of 2022. When Pollard becomes a FA in 2023 I think Zeke will be worn down and let go. They won't sign Pollard and Dallas will draft their next RB in 2023. Daks contract is one good reason they won't pay the RBs.

he will be UFA.

that means some team will overpay for a RB.

Trust your scouts and player personnel department, and draft Pollard's replacement. Be happy with the comp pick he gives and Gallup will give.

In the meantime, focus on the 2021 season and get all you can out of Pollard, Gallup or whomever is likely to leave for a big payday.

Hey, you stole my answer!!!!!!!

I'd offer him a reasonable contract, but if he doesn't take it, you let him walk. Super bowl teams are built on D, and we need our resources for that.

Funny after all these years, people are still being fooled by the YPC of a scatback. That's young kid stuff.

B...Zeke will be here next season. I know that's not what some fans/posters wanna hear but it is what it is. Pollard will likely get a mid-tier starting offer from another team. In other words, he's likely gone after this season and honestly, I'm happy for the kid......good for him

As good as shape Zeke is this year and as hard as he’s running , getting the ball to Viking 4 late in last game prime example yes I want year 7 of # 21.

Pollard as much as I like him is not a 20 carries a game back but a wonderful change of pace to 21. If your willing to spend a 2 or 3rd rounder and not over pay Pollard you can plug in a change of pace back .

Ridiculous comment.....almost 30 years difference.....Dak makes much more than Troy and Roger! Lol!
he also never heard of inflation and taking into account the cost of living and how much that dollar amount Emmitt made then would be worth today/ES was always the highest paid his entire career even when he was about 6-7 seasons under 4YPC he also held out twice to be sure he was better paid..

ahh the false memory's and bad comps..

Emmitt was a key cog on 3 championship teams. What he made was pennies compared to what Zeke got.

Key cog on a championship team full of championship talent and championship Gm/coaches with many HOFers on that team..

put zeke on that team Cowboys dont miss a beat. remember the team game quotes needing players to win championships.

If an Isaiah Spiller out of A&M fell to the Pokes late round one you have to consider him , Kenneth Walker III out of Michigan St , either of these two men would compliment Elliott very well . With Barkley hurting I could see a team like the Giants pricing Pollard out of Dallas cap space.

Spiller or Walker would keep this potent offense ticking in Dallas no matter who is the OC in 2022
