What do you think of a trade for Mettenberger?

Young, big and strong. Had a decent season with a mediocre team last year and is now expendable after the Titans drafting Mariota.

I think it might be worth it if we can get him for a decent investment.

Mettenberger is only 23. He played pretty well with a bad Titan's team last year and he has the size and arm strength you want in a QB. He is young enough to sit on the bench and learn behind Romo for a few years and still be young enough when it is time to step in and play. He would also have obvious advantages here, like a solid offensive line that could help him succeed.

I think it might be worth a shot if the price is right.

Id definitely take him, however I dont think they will trade him and I have a feeling Mariota may never beat him out

Do the Titans agree with you that he is expendable at this time?

Titans are keeping him. Sure they can get a higher 1st round pick for him, than what the Boy's could offer (which should be a low 1st rounder this year).

I like Glennon from Tampa Bay better. I wonder if he is being shopped now that the Bucs have Winston.

Allegedly he asked to be cut if they drafted Mariota. Obviously it's not his choice to make, but if he is inclined to be a problem, they may decide they don't want the headache.

Of course, that begs the question that if he wanted to be cut there because he was a backup then he probably wouldn't be happy here where he would be a backup.

Good point. Can't say that I am enamored with players that request trades/being cut even before any competition has taken place.

Well, backing up an old guy on a good team beats backing up a young guy on a bad team. But I guess starting trumps all.

Titans drafted him and replaced him. Why was he not good enough for them but is good enough for us? When it comes to the starting QB, I would prefer he be drafted by and developed for our Cowboys.

Who the heck is trading a first round pick for him?

No one. Point is Titans think highly of him and aren't gonna trade him for 7th round pick. They'll hold out until the best offers come in. Like any team does.

Maybe he can cheat and get a suspension and bring enuff shame on that franchise so they'll cut him . . . .

1992 called and they want Brett Favre back.
