What do you think of Robinson?

Most important question: What does Laurent bring against the Giants squad?

considering the injury history of our current #1 and #2 WRs you might want to think about that.

We don't play our games in a world of infinite cap supply.

We have major issues on the OL and major issues on the defense that need the cap dollars. A great #3 WR is a luxury we probably can't afford.

We'll just have to develop one of the young guys for the role: Harris, Radway, Holley and Otree will all have a shot.

I think it is reasonable to re-sign Robinson to a reasonable #3 WR contract. That would be about $4M/yr or so over 3 years. I really don't think we could pay much more to him without severely impacting our ability to put together a balanced roster that has a chance of contending. The defense needs at least 3 more impact players to have a shot - one top CB and one top pass rusher. Until we get those things we are just pretending to be a playoff team.

I usually agree with Eskimo and disagree with you. But it looks as if the opposite is the case here.

Cowboy, I don't disagree with you as much as I believe we are limited in what we can afford to pay Robinson.

We can't pay him a salary commensurate with his stats this year. However, I think that is fair enough because I don't think his stats are entirely representative of how good a player he is. He is an okay #2 and a very good #3 and we should only pay him as such. We definitely cannot get into the game of paying him as though he is a borderline Pro Bowl player even though he has put up 9 TDs and would have 1000 yards if he had started the year with us.

If we can bring him back for about $3-4M/yr we probably should. Otherwise, we have gaping holes on the roster to address.

Hopefully he gets single coverage and a couple of touchdowns.

Fair enough. I wasn't name calling or hating because we disagree. Just disagreeing. I still like reading your posts.

That's what I'm hoping. We have a whole bunch of guys to cover. Austin, Dez, Witten and Robinson. That's quite the line up, I think.

I agree. After watching Romo struggle to figure out where Roy Williams would end up on passing routes, the fact that Robinson comes in off the street and has pretty much instant chemistry with Romo is something I would like to see continue.
