Kudus DB!dallasblue05 said:I actually have a pretty unique job. I am a Boom operator on a KC 135 Stratotanker. I have been in the Air force for over 2 yrs now and I get paid basically to fly around a refule other airplanes in-flight. Now I do that here in the states, but when I go overseas, i do it there to, which means flying in hostile territory. The cool thing is, we mostly refuel fighter and bomber aircraft over there, which means, when someone gets bombed, or a fighter is lighting up the enemy, we made that possible by providing the fuel nessesary to get them there. You can see pictures on yahoo by typing in KC 135 or in-flight refueling pics and searching under the images category. Its a huge responsibility, but as with any other job, I love doing it, so it gives me a huge sense of not only pride, but a kind of different perspective on things as well.......
K 135 now that is an engineering marvel. My first lead at Boeing was a engineer that was part of the orignial design team. Yea he was old and very wise. I really learned a lot from him.
