Hence, my comment on his signing off on LaFleur.
Pay attention to your own comments.
It's still irrelevant. LaFleur's biggest failures were medical, which Troy couldn't have known about, and you're blaming him for. Let me ask again: what does this have to do with Norv's skill as an offensive coordinator?
Troy was a All Pro grade QB. He won 3 Super Bowls. He's surely qualified to tell you WHO taught him to be the best. He says it's Norv Turner. He could have said David Shula, or whomever were the Qb coaches at the time, but no, he singles out Norv.
That's significant about Norv, in a way totally opposed to Troy tossing the ball back and forth with LaFleur. So Troy wasn't a professional scout at the time. Are you going to tell me he wasn't a professional QB either? That he didn't know that position, or what it took to go from horrible to one of the best in the NFL?
I'll reiterate. I think you, and perhaps theogt, are denying that Norv has any professional skills whatsoever. I think you're overstating the case. Norv seems qualified to me to be a NFL coordinator, and he has some influential voices in Aikman and Daryl Johnson who say he's an excellent coach.
David.
