What happened to Dez Bryant's hands?

Can anyone tell me what has happened to this guys hands? I mean, wasn't he one of the most sure handed receivers in the league? I don't want to hear the injury excuses either because his injuries have nothing to do with holding on to the ball. I just don't get it, has he mentally checked out or what? Thoughts?

I honestly think it is simply one of those things that happens when you have all the stupidity from the offseason (contract situation, missing mini camps, etc..............), missing all the work with any of the QB's, getting hurt, etc................ it's just par for the course with all the other issues this club has this year. I don't think this is something that will plague him next year. There a quite a few things I'm worried about more with this team than Dez's hands.

If you believe what he says, he is trying too hard.

Don't ask me what that really means. What I see is a player who is not disciplined and is playing stupid.

Brutal year, I hope this is isn't a, he got paid, situation.

He had alligator arms attempts twice on that first drive. I know they weren't good throws. That first slant he appeared to stop the route, then start and didn't go for it like he could have

He's really fighting the ball. Yesterday, he not only jumped on that sideline route but didn't appear sure which way to turn his hands. He strikes me as a guy that needs constantly coached and reminded on fundamentals. Not a knock, alot of players are the same way, but in addition to him losing confidence and fighting himself a bit, he probably isn't getting a whole lot from Dooley either.

I don't know. Seems he's been in such a funk this year outside of a few moments.

Hopefully he can bounce back, finish strong and return to normal in 2016.

He said that if he could do yesterday over that he would not have wore gloves and that he changed gloves 3 times.

I honestly think he just lacks focus from the lack of targets he gets and when he is actually targeted it just surprises him so much that he doesn't catch the pass.

But according to the staff, he is making some unbelievable catches in practice.

Dez got paid; Thats what Dez wanted. Now he has got a monkey.

Ohh poor Dez. Leave Dez alone!!!

For someone who throws a hissy fit when he doesnt get the ball, he sure drops it alot when he does get it.

For me, he has used all of his "hissy fit" credit. Card has been maxed out!!!!

I don't think he's 100% from all his injuries. Maybe during the offseason, he'll get better.

I think he is trying to do too much. He seems to be planning his run before the ball gets to him. Undisciplined for sure.

Completely undisciplined ball right now.

Could be he's wanting to do too much with the ball, and he's not securing it first. That happens a lot with great, big play, WR's when they feel they have to be the whole team.

Without Romo on that offense I imagine Dez is feeling the pressure to be everything for that offense. Plus he got paid so he wants bad to prove he was worth it.

That all adds up to a really piss poor year by Dez.

Dez has been pretty bad this year, but the fact that a receiver has the dropsies doesn't make him undisciplined and stupid. He's always been one of the hardest practice guys on the team, so it's not like he's got some reputation as a guy that doesn't put the work in.

He was never, and I repeat NEVER, one of the most sure handed receivers in the NFL. Heck he is probably 3rd on the team. He can make incredible and explosive look easy, but he has always dropped the routine ones throughout his career.

Don't know if Bryant has checked out but I checked out on him since he dropped that perfectly thrown Matt Cassel back shoulder throw on 3rd and 1 at Tampa. In my opinion, the guy literally has Hall of Fame potential but his inconsistency catching the ball in his sixth year in the league is disturbing. The Shields' interception was a difficult throw but certainly within the capability of being caught by a top 5 NFL receiver. The solid passes have been inconsistent as well but Bryant has missed passes hitting him between the 8's. I hope 2016 turns out better for him than this season.
