yeah from what fisher was saying last night it sounds like he really took miraculous measures at trying to come back fast from the jones fracture and hes probably still not 100%. couple that with missing all off season and we have ourselves a very rusty dez bryant. this whole season has been cursed from the get go and this is just one of the storylines in it. i really think going forward Dez is the least of our worries.

If you believe what he says, he is trying too hard.

Don't ask me what that really means. What I see is a player who is not disciplined and is playing stupid.

It was similar to Romo when he came back and threw interceptions all over the field.

Romo and Dez feel that they need to carry the team by themselves which can cause a player to try and force things. Last year they had no pressure at the start of the season because we were expected to be a bad team. Then when we were not we had performance coming from Romo, Dez, and Demarco. So each guy didn't feel the pressure to do it all on every play all alone.

Dez doesn't have the ability to check out mentally. He isn't wired to not care. Its easier for fans to have people to place their anger on and saying someone checked out lets fans be angry with the person. All the losing and the offense being 29th in the league in scoring can cause this.

I dont know a thing about Dezs mentatilty. Im not sure what Dez feels or doesnt feel.

But I do know this. He dropped a ball in the TB game, that couldve won the game for us. And he continues to drop otherwise easy catches for any WR. And he just looks.................sloppy. The year after he got his money. And when you have a mouth like Dez does. You might not want to do those things.

I think its time for him to shutup about not getting the Ball. His "hissy fit" days would be over, if I were running things.

I wish I knew to use that (I tried too hard) back in school. If nothing else, there is a high school teacher and college professor I would love to have said that to for the look on their face if nothing else.

Damn. I have Romo AND Dez on my fantasy football team. Not having Romo is 90% of the problem for Dez. Imo

I like Dez. But he is one of the main reasons we haven't won. the way a team wins with back ups is all other players step up. Dez has stepped down. You can't have your two best offensive players struggle and win in this league. Our best is out and Dez might as well be out. You can blame the scheme coaches or whatever you want. Football is still about players executing. And ours aren't and that is in the players.

Trying too hard! LOL. Much mirth in that.

Dez has become the most overrated, most highly paid and most diva-ish of all so-called blue-chip receivers.
Too bad Sir Jones gave him all that cash for diddly squat.

He has always been mentally fragile. Cornerbacks have been able to get into his head since day one. I think now, more than anything, he is in his own head. He is pressing. Once he drops one or gets a bad pass his way, he struggles to just move on the the next play. Even when he does catch the ball right now, it's like he is fighting it.

I think it's all in his head.

Looks like he has the WR version of what golfers call the ipps (missing easy putts). Hope he gets over it :(

Brutal year, I hope this is isn't a, he got paid, situation.

He had alligator arms attempts twice on that first drive. I know they weren't good throws. That first slant he appeared to stop the route, then start and didn't go for it like he could have

Did you miss the safety lining him up when he jumped?

In the Immortal words of the great Ricky Watters, for who for what?

I think he checked out. I'm sure he knew a while ago the season was over.

Appears he checked out once he signed his contract. Started throwing punches during training camp at his own teammate. Did nothing but smack talk with Rams players during a joint practice. He then suffered an injury causing him to miss practices and the entire preseason. He didn't look very good in the opener having to go to the locker room for dehydration and an IV then proceeded to break his foot.

He still has immaturity issues and hasn't looked focused all season being shutdown by some ordinary corners. I've been a big fan of his but his play has really disappointed me this season and I'm starting to wonder if the Cowboys made the right decision resigning him. He hasn't come close to looking like an elite receiver this season.

How is any of that checking out?

If he had checked out he never would have come back from the broken bone in his foot, he could have shut it down the whole year like Julio did last year.

Come on man

If Garrett can scrub while stealing money from Jerry, getting a 5 year extension, Dez might as well be part of that RKG culture and roll with it...

The guy at the liquor store told me that once Dez got his fat contract, he gets a manicure every week and is real worried about breaking a nail...Well you can't blame him, those manicures ain't cheap!
