How is any of that checking out?
If he had checked out he never would have come back from the broken bone in his foot, he could have shut it down the whole year like Julio did last year.
Come on man
Coming back from a broken foot doesn't mean he hasn't checked out mentally. He hasn't played worth a crap since he came back he didn't even look that good in the opener. He gets shutdown practically every week regardless who's covering him and all he's been doing is dropping passes and yapping. Never have I seen a receiver smack talking with an opposing player during an active play after their QB had just thrown an int they weren't even aware of but he got caught doing that vs Carolina. What an IDIOT! All Garrett does is coddle him excusing every stupid thing he does as passion. As soon as he got paid he started strutting around smack talking throwing punches at a teammate during camp. He started trouble with the Rams at a joint practice this past summer.
NFLN showed him smack talking with opposing players while the rest of the team was running plays. Jeff Fisher (not Garrett) had to approach Dez when he started getting into it with one of his players. The Rams player was walking away and Dez kept coming after him trying to start a fight. I posted on the board I didn't like what I was seeing from Dez and that it wouldn't surprise me if it led to a down year for him....BINGO! He allows opposing corners to get into his head causing him to lose his focus. Josh Norman shut him down then disrespected him saying the Cowboys should get their money back. Dez has taken a fall from from grace this season with receivers like Odell Beckham clearly moving ahead of him.
We're seeing why Jerry was so apprehensive to pay him. Once he got paid he proceeds to have his worst season and his foot injury is no excuse for the drops he's had. Dez needs a coach who'll get in his face and stop telling him and everyone how great he is all the time. This team is a mess and it all starts with the guy who writes the checks and the one who coaches the team.
