Can anyone tell me what has happened to this guys hands? I mean, wasn't he one of the most sure handed receivers in the league? I don't want to hear the injury excuses either because his injuries have nothing to do with holding on to the ball. I just don't get it, has he mentally checked out or what? Thoughts?

I am going to tell you what happen to Dez hands.....he missed training camp.

We can make excuses for Dez 'til the end of time but the fact remains that he's not earning his keep. He tends to blame his problems on everything but himself. He must be somewhat accountable and take responsibility for his woes before doing what is needed to correct his problems. That's where it all starts.

I dont know how some of you can jump week to week on who you hate on the Dallas Cowboys. From Hardy, Lawerence, Crawford, now Dez? Does anyone remember the Philly game? I will blame the inconsistency at QB before i take to making our best active offensive player out to be a scapegoat.
Did you watch the Packer game? Or are you OK with our allegedly "best active offensive player" dropping three passes and netting one grab for nine yards? Is that performance worth $70 million to you?

Remember that incredible diving catch vs Washington? Anyone?

Are we just pretending that never happened?

 No that's been the excuse by some fans.
OK, his foot injury may affect his ability to jump, to get separation, etc. but it does not affect his hands. When he has both hands on the ball, his one job is to CATCH it! And for $70M, he's paid to made the tough catches, so I don't wanna hear about how Cassel hasn't delivered the ball to him properly -- my grandma can catch a perfectly thrown pass for a helluva lot less than $70M!!

....so Beas, TWill, and Witten still have a line of credit?.....C'mon....The receiving corp has been out of sync all year. It was Dez turn on Sunday.

It has. No doubt about it. And fundamentally I like Dez. He just worries me sometimes. I think he has a personality that can just be a tad bit....."self involved".

The difference between twill, beas and Witten is they dont go off, creating a distraction and another thing to "deal with" if things arent going their way. I dont like it when players put themselves "above" the team. Just like I dont mind Hardy leaving because under no circumstance should you slap a clipboard out of a coaches hand. I dont care how good you are.

Now, I am also a big beleiver in second, even third chances. But at some point. Enough is Enough. And with Dez, if he aint winning ball games for us, then he needs to clamor down. Watch him score Sat night and throw up that X. Liek it actually means anything.

I guess we're reduced to securing non-playing nice guys with zero emotion. There goes the neighborhood now.....along with any heart.

All I can say about the Dez venom in this thread is......damn....you would think he signed with the Eagles.

A brother can't have a bad stretch around here.........Dallas Bryant isn't gonna forget this....

....but some get immunity each week. Can't have a bad stretch for a moment, even if mediocrity is in the environment.

There are too many sacred cows on this team, immune from criticism. I love Jason Witten, but he's good for one false start per game on average (in addition to his lack of YAC). The coaches need to call him out on that. After more than a decade in the NFL, you'd think he could recall the snap count!

Maybe because a false start isn't that big of a deal. He has over 1000 catches as a TE, that is why he is a sacred cow. The pluses outweigh the negatives by a wide margin.
