Why couldn't Zeke carry the team this year or Dalton pad stats.

Dak was a rookie in 2016. to win 13 games as a rookie....lets count how many others have done so....

Come on dude, you know better. Elite players from every draft in hindsight come in the middle of the draft. Dak is the clear #1 choice in the 2016 draft if it was re-done today.

And our front office does continue to draft very well.... So let's be hopeful.

The interior of the DL has to be fixed in FA, but I doubt it happens. We will see.

Lawrence, LVE, and Jaylon improving is possible.... again, why be so pessimistic? It's a sport haha. If we get the LVE, Lawrence, and Jaylon we expected last season, plus add a first round safety, and say a third round corner, we might have a better defense than expected.....

If we can sign a darn DT.

Well I feel Jaylon will improve off of last year's performance. I'm not a fan of Jaylon but he was really misused last year. Jaylon is more of an attacking north south linebacker. He's not a east west drop into coverage type linebacker. If the new DC uses him correctly then he will improve.

I would say that with the new DC Jaylon, LVE and DLaw will improve off of last year. It's not as much a possibility but a probability. Nolan very much misused those guys. So they'll be better. You can count on that. How much better is a different discussion.

If we can sign a capable DT or safety prior to the draft then we can go after the position we don't sign in the draft. Then grab a couple CBs in the draft and our defense will be better, a lot better, than last year.

Might not be good enough for playoff wins but with a healthy Dak, and offensive line and the the defense not allowing 40 points a game we should be okay. There's hope, but we got to draft well and whoever the big defensive FA is we have to hit on. We can't do another Griffen, Clinton-Dix, Poe. No FA busts or that'll kill us.

To be fair, our defense got exposed. A lot of the talking heads saying we were Super Bowl bound expected Jaylon + LVE to dominate.

Worst part of the defense from last year is gone. Stupid Nolan should have never been hired. Much better system this year, hurt players coming back plus new additions will make this years defense light years better than last.

People will and should expect making post season. As for what Dallas may or may not do in terms of bringing in players this season? they have the ability to do so since we are not paying out 37 mill this year instead we are paying out 22 mill this season.

I don't see Dak as the type of QB and with his leadership ability for him to fold, however Dak trolls on this board, will over analyze every throw, ever drive, every pass, every sack, every interception, every series, every quarter, every half, every game with pages and pages of analysis on why we shouldn't pay him.

Problem is they keep saying prevent defense and no defense played prevent against Dak last season. Either they have no idea what they are watching or don't know what a prevent defense is. Case in point go back to Daks last full season when they played GB. GB was still attacking and blitzing on defense and passing on offense even after they were up multiple TDs........ that's not prevent defense.

Garrett wasn't a good coach or have a great play caller. That's why Romo and Dak were really good in hurry up cause they just could play. Those big plays happened and the Dak haters want to say garbage stats against prevent...... even though the game was close and the other team was still blitzing and playing press man........
