No he hasn't
On Golston: he isn't a DT, at least on early downs so playing him there would be a huge mistake IMO. He'll get blown off the line against the run. But let's look at the stats and do so knowing he was a rookie and should improve:
Golston
Seasons: 1
Sacks: 1
QB hits: 4
tackles: 32
Hill and to be clear, this is 3 years combined
Seasons: 3
Sacks: 0.5
QB hits: 8
tackles: 27
I'm not saying those are stats you'd pump your chest about for Golston, but your comment that about Hill at least produced in the regular season doesn't even make sense.
The way it should be looked at is games played. Golston 15 games, Hill 18 games.
When Hill started(5 games) in 2020 his second year he actually flashed what most were waiting to see his rookie year. Unfortunately he had the knee injury and lost that year. He was still recovering the next year(last season) and too boot there was a change in the defensive system. Another lost year.
This year is really Hill's best chance since the start of 2020. I am rooting for Hill to make the team and overcome the adversity that he has had in his career so far. If he doesn't, I wish him well.
Golston has not really shown very much. We'll see if he takes the next step his sophomore season.
