What Has Garrett Shown Any of You?

This is the part where I say "Truly, you have a dizzying intellect." And then you say, "Wait till I get going! Now, where was I?" And I say "Australia" and then you talk some more and then take a sip and this thread starts to finally get better.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about?

I rebutted every point he had. I understand if you don't comprehend numbers and statistics, it flies over a lot of peoples heads..

Point blank Jimmy went 1-15 and Garret went 5-3.

And lol at pro bowl berths for Gurode and 2010 Ratliff being the measuring stick.

Alan Ball was the worst starting safety in the NFL in 2010 although Spievey gave him a run. That team quit on Phillips. Jason Witten made the probowl but i watched him quit in the Green Bay game. That was literally my lowest point as a Cowboys fan.

So what do you think of the rosters Jerry Jones put together in 2007 -2010? You think Jones did a good job stockpiling talent?

Man after following so many debates on this forum I actually don't know who is responsible for aquiring talent for the Cowboys anymore.:)

Garrett has shown me many reasons to not waste time challenging OPs like this.
Come on, it really wasn't much of a challenge.

?

the fact that he tried to change the subject from garrett's ineffective offense to questioning my intelligence is extremely torpid.

refute any of the points I made...besides, "oh well he's rebuilding from scratch and changing the culture." I don't think he's shown anything YET. his offense was the main reason we lost 2 out of 3 of the playoff games he's coached in.

you are clearly a garrett bandwagon fan...which is fine by me. just don't break your ankle when you try to jump off

Hos is clearly a Garrett FAN, but what has he ever said that would lead you to believe that he's a BANDWAGON fan? I find that very unlikely, personally.

he's on the garrett bandwagon. as 75-80% of the people on this forum are.

hostile thinks he's great. the next 2 season will show if garrett is the next landry or the next campo

I was agreeing with you because I was confused by his response to your post also.

Once again you use the bad comparison to Jimmy's early years. The situations are totally different. They can not be compared. Garrett took over a team with some talent. Jimmy came into a complete mess in need of a total overhaul.

And, frankly, who cares about what a great group of guys we have anyway? We want to win football games. Any fan of any team can claim they have a great group of guys. It's a hollow statement.

Is there ANYTHING you like about your supposed favorite team???

Never liked the hire. Didnt see him as a leader or difference maker, still dont.

I feel the same about Garrett now, as I did when he was the OC. I never liked his playcalling and now his re-vamping of the OL with a QB over 30, is not exactly the work of a genius now is it?

At the time, I wanted Gruden here instead and I think Jerry could've made it happen if he wanted. I guess the writing was on the wall from the beginning, when Garrett was actually hired before Wade. Big deal, that he used to be our backup QB and his dad was a long time scout here...ooooh!

I still back Jason Garrett. Thinkin' he deserves a bit more time to prove himself, or not, before we verbally castigate him. He was a noob head coach last year. Say what you want about his OC efforts and experience leading up the job, but HC is a different animal.

Bottom line: I like the coaching staff JG has assembled and the direction the "team" seems to be headed in. I think Jason will learn and grow from his past mistakes. He can't control injuries... not 100%... nobody can. I'm in the "hold off judgement just yet" camp.

I think the numbers probably went over my head because of the exceptionally extreme torpor. I'm impressed by how you just nailed that.

****, ****, ****! Did I just CCBOY? It happens to the best of us. Which I think I just proved if it happened to me.

It was a Princess Bride reference, where the Sicilian puts on a dazzling intellectual display that is almost completely meaningless and then poisons himself because he's not really as clever as the thought he was. I can tell you guys don't have kids.

His post made me think of it as he was going round and round with nonsense arguments while the rest of us watched. Or at least that's what I imagined we were doing.

Nice dodge. But seriously do you think the Cowboys front office has done a good job acquiring talent over the last 5 or so years? I think it cuts right to the heart of the matter logical consistency being what it is.

Welcome to the Hostile Butthurt Club. He's in the drivers seat of that bandwagon too.

Garrett, where shall I start?

I'll make this quick and painful.

You fail as a Coordinator so you get promoted. - one wonders if JG has something huge over Jones head.

The scouting report on Garrett, he's smart. Yeah right. He's a rocket scientist, and yet a numbskull on the football field.

Show me results or get lost, mr Genius.

you know it would help if you checked your facts before you posted. dallas was #2, #7 and #10 in scoring in garrett's 4 year as OC.....is that average?

Here are the Cowboys ranks in scoring under Garrett (with links):

2007: 2nd

2008: 18th

2011: 15th

Where did 10th come from? And why for his "4 years" did you only list 3?

What am I missing here?
