what if we win one playoff game

just remembering all the Parcells' bashing

what?

Seems you are more concerned with people rubbing Parcells face in it. I have no issue with BP, I was glad he was here but he choose to leave no hard feelings but now Wade is the HC and has this team moving in the right direction and doing well in post season is all I'm hoping for not thinking about Parcells one way or another he has his own team now and it is not the Dallas Cowboys.

Now, on to the question. Will one playoff win satisfy everyone? No, because then the whiners and habitual complainers will say, "In 13 years, we've only won one playoff game!" If you think meeting this current complaint of winning a playoff game will end all of the complaining, then you're dead wrong. The opposition has a whole rolodex full of complaints, and when we meet one complaint, they'll just pull out another.

"The opposition"?

So if one playoff win in 13 years isn't satisfactory, then you are the opposition? Really?

Yeah, but I see your point, how dare any fan "complain" about over a dozen years of futility, especially when it was primarily caused by one egotistic wannabe GM.

screw Bill Parcells. There, I said it.

If it were him, we'd have Shawn Merriman instead of Ware right now.

Hear, hear!!!!

That's right, screw the man that got us from the annual 5-11 seasons back to the playoffs. There, I said it.

And still idiots believe that BS about Ware vs Merriman. By the day of the draft everyone wanted Ware. Only reason Merriman was in the conversation as long as he was was that until Ware blew up the Combine there were real doubts about him. Once the combine was over Ware was the man by all accounts. The worry BP had was that since they were going to the 3-4 he had to have 3-4 DE's which we did not have any. Spears was by all scouting reports the top 3-4 DE in the draft. BP was worried someone else would get him first. Ware at the time before the Combine was a late first rd pick. Once the combine was over ware was right near the top 10. So BP and Jerruh had to agree to grab Ware first and hope that Spears was there at 20 and he was.

I would NOT BE SATISFIED with one playoff win. No Cowboy fan worth a damn should be. SB all the time. Never be satisfied with anything else. MORONIC QUESTION.

My hope is a SB but if this franchise made it to the NFC Championship game win or lose I would not consider this a failure of a season.

would not consider it a failure either but I would NOT BE SATISFIED.

No, I see everything. I know that winning one playoff game won't solve the whole thing. It will only open up the floodgates to new complaints.

If we get to the conference championship game, same thing.

If we get to the Super Bowl, same thing.

If we win a Super Bowl, same thing.

It never ends, the complaining and the grousing. Like I said, it's an endless rolodex.

I agree. I want SB but when I think for where this franchise has been since 1996 I think making the NFC championship would be a big step

Coach Parcells and others remarked after the draft that Merriman was not on the radar due to character concerns that arose late in the evaluation process. But that is apparently irrelevant to imbeciles who want to keep complaining about something that had very little chance of occurring.

Yep.

Especially considering the fact that immediately after drafting Demarcus Ware, at Valley Ranch, Bill Parcells said he reminded him of Lawrence Taylor.

When evaluating Bill Parcells' history with Dallas, one has to look a lot deeper then his winning percentage.

Oh yeah, I'm sure there would be a heavy rush of complainers and grousers if we won the Super Bowl.

Spot on, man, spot on. I mean it's happened every time hasn't it?

True but that goes for just about everything in life.

Once you overcome one hurdle, you and/or the people observing you start wondering if you can overcome the next hurdle.

That's life

That and the reason why he was brought here.

First and foremost, it was to rebuild the organization. He revamped the scouting department that Jerry Jones literally stripped after Coach Johnson left. He identified key players like Ireland, Brian Gaine and Ciskowski to reemphasize the focus on the selection process and most importantly, squeezed Larry Lacewell out as a power broker in the draft room. That cannot be underscored enough.

As for this year, like any year, I'll be disappointed if it ends with a loss. But if we win in the playoffs I will be grateful to get that monkey off our back and will consider it at least a somewhat successful season, especially after the way last year ended. But that's not to say I'd be satisfied with just one win.

:laugh2:

If I am not mistaken, weren't there reports that Lacewell would be back as a consultant, right after Bill Parcells left?

I won't be satisfied with 1 playoff win but I do believe this is a very tough NFC field to go against!

I will be dissapointed with anything less than a SuperBowl victory but that is just me.

I think we are better than Green Bay and Arizona. I would be very dissapointed with a loss to either of them.

Philly is just a tossup IMO.

I don't know what to think of Minnesota although Favre never plays well against us.

NO is a scoring machine - they scare me even though we beat them!
