The downside to having an outstanding draft is that you have to re-sign all these guys at the same time. If current career projections continue, how do you sign the following players:

Dak
Zeke
Maliek Collins
Anthony Brown

You can add Rico and Jaylon if they become good players as well.

That would be a massive cash outlay and a huge salary cap issue.

NOTE: If you give Zeke the 5th year option, you can re-sign him a year later which may help. But still.....

Thankfully, it's a problem for another day.

Hopefully by then there are changes to the salary cap structure for teams to be able to keep drafted players. I believe the present contract runs out in 2020. If not there is no way we will be able to sign all these players in the same year.

If he keeps improving and plays like he has been, he's going to get an enormous contract.

That's what the NFL pays QBs.

If he's absolutely going to be the man, you want to lock him up after his third season to as long a contract as you can. Every year the number is just going to get higher, a few years into it and it'll look like a bargain just like Tyron's. It also gives you more cap flexibility.
