What is Dak's Trade Value?

Like Daks stats are somehow greater than then team wins. Would anyone have complained if the Cowboys scored 3 points and won against the 49-ers? No, everyone would be here hooting and hollering about how awesome our defense was.

Man I miss those days….I think it was a playoff game vs Detroit. We won 5-3 or something like that. I’d have to look it up to be positive. Back when competent people were running this organization.

Dak's trade value is worth whatever the interested team is willing to offer.

It's like that now and has been for as long as trading players has existed.

Dak's value is highest to the Cowboys. That being said, assuming the no trade clause doesn't exist, I imagine some team would give up multiple firsts for him. I bet the Dolphins would take him for a bevy of picks.

In a meaningless game for the eagles who had already locked in home field and whose aim was to get out without major injury. You really think Dak would have delivered that if the Eagles were trying? Please.
Wrong, HFA was still in play into week 18, There was a lot on the line in that game. To insinuate the Eagles weren’t trying is so preposterous.
Either you are misinformed or making stuff up.

Dallas won that playoff game 5-0. Mike Clark--the old style, straight-motion kicker--kicked a FG, and Pugh and Andrie got Greg Landry on a safety. Detroit was driving late in the game to win it when Mel Renfro intercepted a pass inside the 20. My whole family jumped up and down screaming. What a great game.

Fantasyland . . . look boss the plane . . . the plane

Only way we win with him here is if he is holding a clip board
That already happens when the opposing offense is on the field and he needs to catch up on pictures taken.

They had not clinched and played all of their starters. You are quite literally making that up.

Yes, Dak has lit up the Eagles over and over again.

If it happens to happen, you won’t even be able to enjoy it, so why bother?

I will say that I once felt that way (not about Prescott) though. It’s really a matter of perspective and what it means within the rest of one’s life I suppose.

In 2014 I was so pumped up for the season, then they laid an egg vs SF at home in the opener and I figured we had the same old Garrett BS going on. Couldn’t enjoy that run because I never let myself get over week one.

2016….I knew a rookie QB would eventually bring us down so I didn’t buy into it.

Yeah sure I was right, but it didn’t make me feel any better about what happened, and I cheated myself out of enjoying 12 and 13 win seasons.

Will Prescott eventually win? Maybe not, but I have a tough time concluding in July that there’s no shot at all until he is gone.

Speaking of 2016, between Garrett, Jerry and Moore, I don’t think he has been used correctly since. I believe MM feels the same, so I find my hope there. To each his own.

I find it interesting that the Dakaters discount his value and say no other GM would give up quality picks for him.

On this forum, and I would assume in real life, less than 50% of the members are Dakaters yet they project their bias onto 31 GM's.

Does anyone here really think these GM's are going to stop making high risk moves as CLE and DEN have most recently done? And they will have learned nothing from the DEN move because it could have worked and that's what these people focus on more than what if it doesn't work.

6-10 of the HC's and GM's are on the hot seat every season and do we think an owner is going to prevent them from making moves that might work?

And a lot of these guys just need to show improvement, most know they are not going to the Big Dance. Just make the fans and owner happier.

A good way to determine the market is to look as to what other teams were willing to do. For example Watson, who was a good QB but was facing a long ban from football, garnered 3 FRP, a 3rd, and a 4th. Carr just got $37.5m AAV and he was by far the best QB to hit VFA in the last 5 years.

The deceit is constant and consistent. There is a former statesman who talked about the power of repeating the big lie over and over again while being hostile to any contrary opinion.

I am playing catch up with this thread and really don't have the appetite to rea all the posts so far, so there is a fair chance this has been covered:

There is a dearth of starting quality QB's in the NFL. Regardless of whether he is top 10 or middle of the pack QB, Dak is a quality starter. He would almost unquestionably garner a first round pick and possibly more. I don't see his contract as a major issue as it will soon be viewed as manageable when other QB's extend their current contracts.

Raiders will come a'knockin' when Garrop sustains his yearly injury.

If we had no QB, what would everyone in here be willing to part with in order to acquire Kirk Cousins?

A single 1st round pick?

I read an article of writer stating a team (rumor) would think about trading for Dak if he doesn't play well this season and make noise in the playoffs. Good or bad season, what is Dak's trade value in your eyes, what would you give as an NFL team to get him?
If I, a GM, needed a capable QB to back up the incumbent QB,
I'd offer a second round pick and a third round pick.
The money part with Deek's contract etc. is too speculative for me to answer, me chap.
I could see Deek as a good backup for 5 years.
