That is so far off its laughable. I realize the other trolls are just trolling, but is that really your educated guess on what we would get? Do some research and tell me all they would get is a first rounder if they were lucky.
Depends on his year. If like last year, do you really thing they could get a 1st round for a 30 year old QB, that is showing signs of regression and will demand a huge contract.
If a good year and they get to the NFCCG, then why would they even entertain trading him.

That is not an educated guess...that is pure knowledge. No research necessary.

Crazy things do happen .... but Wilson was elite for his career until the trade & had skins on the wall. Watson as a player is much more pedigreed and seemingly has the talent to take a team further than Dak has shown. Just because Cleveland was crazy though doesn't mean anyone else would follow that template.
No that is incorrect. Wilson's last few years he was anything but elite. Very much on the downside of his career. Watson was suspended for a year and a half. QB's dont take teams anywhere, so again, thats false.

Heck Aaron Rogers on a 2 year rental got a first, 2nd, and 6th round pick for him. Now Roger is great, but he is 39 now and its a rental. That was also a different situation where Rogers said he was going nowhere but the Jets.

With Dak you would get a bidding war and the dumbest GM would win giving up the house.

Actually your guess is pure laughable as is most of your guesses. The best part is there are 3 of these transactions that have happened in the last 2 years and all you have to do is google, which you seem incapable doing.

Russel Wilson, Desauwn Watson and Aaron Rogers on a 2 years rental at 39 years old.

Wilson (33 years old at time of trade) = 2 first round picks, 2 2nd round picks, a 5th rounder, Noah Fant, a DT and Drew Lock

Watson= 3 first round picks (250 million fully guaranteed over 5 years)

Rogers (39 years old) = First, 2nd, 6th (2 years left on his contract of 100k total)

Do the research. Seahawks got 2 firsts, two 2nds, a 5th, Noah Fant, Drew Lock and a DT all for Wilson.

Wilson was older and way past his prime.

Texans got 3 first round picks for Desaun Watson. Watson was out of football for a year and a half and was in legal trouble with the league.

And dont even bother telling me that Watson or an old Wilson are better than Dak in his prime.

Cowboys might be able to get more than I said depending on when they traded him. If it was in the next two years for sure.
Those are some crazy trades. Just goes to show how hard it is to find a good QB, and how desperate some teams are.

I would take either of those deals for Dak, but this is all a fantasy.

Yep, there is always one desperate moron GM out there willing to give up the house for a top 10 QB.

I would give Dak a 2 year extension because of the quality of the team we have. Then I would trade him if we could get anything close to 2 first and a couple 3rds.

Dak is top 10 and he has been more than playing up to his contract. There isnt as much of a debate as its a study of what other good QB's have gotten recently in trades. Wilson and Watson have been traded in the last two years and its public knowledge. Dak in his prime would be worth more than those just as much if not more than those QB's in a trade.
Possibly and no. However, that's not the debate. Agree about examining what other QBs have gotten. I think two 1sts +.

Actually its not. Not hard to do the google thing.
Seattle basically got two first rounders, two 2nd rounders, and a few players for Wilson.

Watson was traded for three 1st rounders plus.

Remember I said bordering, not equal to.

The Lions only got two first rounders for Stafford because they agreed to take on Jared Goff's contract.

A 3rd, with a possibility of it turning into a 2nd based on production. That's tops But really, it all depends on the team you're trading him to. How desperate they are, where they might pick the following year.
How are you guys so far off base? Man, out of touch w/ reality.

I read an article of writer stating a team (rumor) would think about trading for Dak if he doesn't play well this season and make noise in the playoffs. Good or bad season, what is Dak's trade value in your eyes, what would you give as an NFL team to get him?
Who would trade for that huge salary, I know a contract would need to be negotiated. But he would need to agree to be traded. That clause is still in effect.

They would be lucky to get a 1st round pick though.
We wouldn't, the Joneses would. Booger has his ego vested in Prescott and it would take a meltdown for him to let him go.

He would also have to start over from square one, do you really want that? These people picking a QB?
The Cowboys owner/GM is not going to part with this QB, and that QB is not going to want to leave this team / franchise.

2 of them are SB winning QB's, been to multiple Championship games.
1 all talk for now, but he was a 1st rounder.

Didnt even look at the Stafford trade, but that is more proof. Yes they were taking on Goffs contract, but they were also getting Goff who is still a good QB.

The Cowboys owner/GM is not going to part with this QB, and that QB is not going to want to leave this team / franchise.
:hammer:
Right. Even with a not so great season, he will get an extension. It is what Jerry does.

I will wait and see how the season goes before I make any judgements about this. I will root for Dak, as well as the team to do well as usual.

As we know, it's not about what they're willing to give as what he wants to take.

The majority of the leverage is with him and his agent but that's always the way it is with star players and the Joneses.

If he has this off season proposed, what's to make us think they trade him and not change HC's.

Prescott's season is as much about McC's future with the Cowboys as much as his own, maybe more. Someone within the organization thinks Moore was the issue.

Like I said, do the research. Or dont.

What Wilson did 10 years ago and what Rogers did 10 years ago has some bearing. Not the amount you are implying.

I can tell you that Denver and the Browns are probably regretting those trades.

In order to win it all you have to do everything right in the offseason and then get a little lucky.

Jones blew it last year with Zeke and not replacing Cooper properly.

He is blowing it this year with his handling of the Oline and I believe his handling of the RB's.

They are thin at both OL and RB and a starter from each coming off a surgery year. And a LT that is a when not if about games he misses.

One thing in their favor is their HC is more than used to the OL Shuffle and once won a playoff game with 5 OG's.
