He flat put the hammer on Indy,,, as the media hype of Andrew Luck didn't work out all that well :lmao:
(Pretty sure that game was b-4 playoffs began)
It was, but it was fun, wasn't it Melon!?

I loved Romo (obviously lol), and I love Dak. Liking both doesn't need to be mutually exclusive.

I hope Dak delivers the goods, or we'll be seeing the same rhetoric in this thread about Romo levied at Dak.

I liked Romo but not crazy about him. Like Coach said, he kept the Cowboys relevant and was an NFL qb for many years, that's not too shabby. Unfortunately for Romo, we have had 2 HOF qbs and he could not measure up in the playoffs.
But this is Dak's era and I really have a good feeling about his (our) future with him at the helm.

Go Cowboys!

Well said, RGV! Tony was never on the level of Roger and Troy. It's cray-cray to say otherwise. But he held his own for us, and like you and Coach said, at least kept it fun for us fans, and gave us hope. However futile as it was.

So excited for our young phenom! Firmly believe he delivers us the hardware :star::star::star:

Tony had good teams. 13-3..12-4...11-5...10-6...He was the weak link...couldn't read a defense...took wild idiotic chances...no, there is no excuse for two wildcard wins in 10 yrs. The club is far, far better off now that his stupidity is gone. When the rookie came in...it was obvious how poor a decision maker Romo really was. Difference between night and day. Gone were all the idiotic mistakes at the LOC...Gone were all the pointless running round with the play still in the QB ' hand...big differense from guessing to knowing what the enemy defenses are really trying to do...the future is finally worth looking forward too.[/QUOTE

Tony has been grossly over rated for years. A guesser...that always guessed wrong when it counted! Manning was a drone..,that understood the fundamentals and made the most of his limited abilities AND opportunities. That matters.

Really!! I though Green Bay won that game...based off of chokemos worst call of all time...hey, lets just chuck it it up for grabs with 5 minutes left...and see what happans...thats too idiotic to comment on...lets give Rodgers 5 minutes to kill us and well...just hope for the best...l mean, why not throw a 12-4 season down the toilet...on a whim...good riddance to an absolute idiot...at long, long last.
Please go take your meds.

Sure. I think it's pretty obvious that Romo never really had a great team around him. His defenses were terrible and the few times that he did make the playoffs the defenses tended to choke. This happened for Dak last year to btw, and I think you would agree with it for Dak at least. Romo was also let down by his teammates on offense, when it mattered the most they would always fail to step up. 2007, it was multiple dropped passes, including td drop by Fasano and a wide open 3rd down drop by Crayton, followed by Crayton quitting on his route that would have won the game . In 2009, his oline just didn't show up for the game, and it didn't matter if the QB took the best attributes of every QB ever, the Cowboys weren't winning that game. In 2014, the biggest play of the game was Murray turning a touchdown into GB football by fumbling as he tended to do in the biggest spots. This was followed by Dez reaching for the endzone on that infamous play which allowed the refs to overturn what should have been a clear catch.

Football is a team game, and it doesn't matter how good you are at QB if your teammates shrink from the moment. That is ultimately the difference in Romo and Eli's playoff success, Eli's receivers catch it with their helmets and his offense recovered every single fumble they had on both of their superbowl runs, Romo's WRs quit on their routes or have a rule changed so they can rule a pass incomplete and his runningbacks fumble should be touchdowns.
Complete ownage!

It's sad but Eli has a better chance for Hall of Fame than Tony. In fact, Tony has almost no chance of making Hall of a Fame, and I love the dude. I feel bad for him.

Eli is a lock. Probably not first ballot but he wont be waiting too long. His stats aren't great at all, but 1. two SB rings 2. Manning family and 3. longtime NYG QB = lock HOFer.

Nice. Tell Brady and Belichick that.

Brady has always has had a defense which makes plays. Even this past SB, with a 28-3 score, how many more points did the top offense in the NFL score against the Pats D while the Pats were allowed to come back? With the Seahawks on the 1 about to win the SB, what did the Pats D do? After Brady threw a pick to lose the playoff game in SD, what did his receiver do to help the team? How many pts did the best offense ever score against the Pats D back in the first of Brady's SBs?

Brady is the goat, no argument there, but he's always had help. The emperor knows how to find players who make plays, and then coaches them into the right place at the right time over and over again.

Give Romo the defense that the Giants had in 2007. Also, put some stickem all over Crayton

Sadly we might've been the best team in the league that year. People forget Terry Glenn was hurt and he was like our Beasley back then. We had whipped the gnats twice already that season. We should've gotten another crack at the Patsies.

We had a punchers chance against the Patriots but we had holes all in that defense.

I was at the game we played the Patriots that year and Brady could've hit us in the flats all day if he wanted to.

Watching that defense in real life was more frustrating then watching it on TV.

How they backed off and just let the PAts have whatever they wanted underneath.

Also....

Randy Moss in person is just unreal. He was a cut above anyone else on that field from a physical standpoint and there were guy like D. Ware, TO, and MB3.

Moss looked 7 feet tall out there.
