What is up in Washington?

This was bound to happen eventually.

The way this league is set up it takes real incompetence to continue to suck for years at a time.

The shame of it is we made no legitimate attempts to keep pace.

Stinky over the last several years allowed them to build...got a descent HC, signed a ton of guys in the off-season to fill voids on their roster. The fruits of their stinkiness paid off by drafting a franchise Pro Bowl QB, and they likely still have money to spend. And, oh yeah, they got rid of the cancer owner named Snyder. Basically, they did what we cannot do

So Basically washington has this :

The rookie contract that Daniels signed is worth $37.75 million for four years and includes a $24.3 million signing bonus. It is also fully guaranteed, with the average annual value of the four-year deal being $9.4 million.

Carolina had the first pick in the draft the last two years.

Should tell you all you need to know.
It doesn't inform me in the least.
A rising team beats a bad team albeit the "3 years to championshp" thinking.
Some teams just don't succeed.
Accept the mystery,

Blimey! In me naive days --- oh, maybe December 2023 --- I knew the future was always bright with a reliable 2 wins against Washington and other wins from weak sisters in 2024.

Today, unruly men, I see The Commanders demolishing an albeit weak Carolina 40-7.
As evidenced by today's game, there is some stirring among the new blood in the NFL.
Seattle, Vikings, Lions, Packers, Bucs. Aggressive in FA, the draft and on the field.

Good teams develop and mature, succeed then decline. Look at Washington. The Cowboys, it seems, rarely rebuild as it did in 1990. The Cowboys just reload with flashy, costly players. And depth? The Lord will provide. WHAT DID WE THINK WOULD HAPPEN WITH SEQUEL BACK? ... Ahem, composure.

I feel we as fans and the team have entered a dull, stagnant era of below-average NFL football. It would definitely give us a better draft pick than 12-5 seasons, but being Raiders-esque would be an undying embarrassment.

Back to the Commanders. good lads.
Jayden Daniels went out early in the game against the Panthers and Marcus Mariota (depth, again) stepped in and supercharged Washington with 18-23 205 yards 2 TDs.

Beware the Commanders, formally known as The Commodes.
Respect
Don't be scared....ese.

They have the guy that should've been our head coach 2 years ago.

Washington finally found a QB and signed some good players and free agency. They used the offseason to improve unlike the Cowboys.

Pretty nice QB situation when you can replace a #2 overall pick with a #1 overall pick.

Kingsbury is an offensive phenom. He didn't make it first time as a HC but he will get another shot.

Danye Fowler with 4.5 sacks now and today he returned an INT for a TD.

Dorance Armstrong didn't play but he has 3 sacks so far.

Remember the player the Cowboys received when they traded Joseph? Noah Igbinoghene is balling.

Quinn has his team believing.

.....Another team that can't wait to play the Cowboys.

This is very true, however, they sucked even worse and longer than the Cowboys before this revival. The only difference now is they got rid of their toxic meddling owner and we still have ours.
